Hey all!
Any cosplayers on here? I've been cosplaying since 2001 and have won 4 awards for my costumes. I'm currently at the artisan level. The costumes I;ve done are, Rosette from Chrno Crusade, Hope Card from Card Captor Sakura Movie 2, Hikaru from Magic Knights Rayearth, Tokyo Mew Mew (I made all 5 costumes for me and my friends), Yuna from FFx and FFX-2, Sesshoumaru from Inuyasha, and a bunch of other costumes that I made for my friends. What costumes did you won for those 4 awards?

My friends go to those all the time. they do it at conventions and stuff. what costumes did you win thoise by? my friends went as people from naruto and full metal alchemist. i tthink it';s really cool ----doing that. they spent like a whole week making them and i'm not sure if they did win. all i know is that they got a bunch of cool stuff autographed and got to meet some artists or someting who do the mang. *glares jealously* i wish i could have gone but my dad said no. *stares in awe* your costumes were cool. :D
Personally i dont cosplay i really never felt like it. but if i ever did who would i be... i dunno maybe god that would be a good one dont you think>?

Sesshoumaru -Best Recreation in the Novice Category
Best Recreation in the Journeyman Category (I was at a different con when I won this one)
Tokyo Mew Mew Group - Best Piece of Tail
Hope Card - Best Wings (HUGE wings on my head made out of fun foam feathers that I cut out and hot glued individualy to a frame)
As far as the prizes, the 2 main conventions I go to only hand our ribbons to the winners. I would love to get an actual trophy though hehehe. All of the awards were won at either Anime North or the Canadian National Anime Expo.

Whew just came from our event 3 days ago,it was very tiring but seeing cosplayers with their new costumes can really help relieve stress ^_^ One of my friends cosplayed as chise of saikano her weapon props are really cool.

I haven't dressed up at any conventions yet, but I plan to! Oh man do I ever :) I am trying to decide what to do this year. Soul Calibur, Suikoden, or a design of a character I play in an mmorpg that I spend too much time playing (and no it isnt WoW or RO.)

Personally, I'm not big cosplayer, but some kids I knew went as the Naruto crew to a convention last year. I spent the whole time making fun of them :).

I've cosplayed, but I've never competed or anything. I think it's fun to dress up, but not really looking for any rewards, even though my dark Akito costume from Nadesico took me a month to make. I do like it though, and I've used the cloak in other creative costumes that have nothing to do with anime as well (for Halloween parties and such).

I cosplay all the time at anime cons. I've cosplayed as Claude from Star Ocean EX, Chrno from Chrno Crusade, Risa from D.N.Angel, Ichigo from Tokyo mew Mew, Mitsuki from Full Moon wo Sagashite, Tsubasa from .hack//sign, and Inu-Yasha.
Never cosplayed, but hey no cosplay events here where I live as far as I know..
