As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!

There's an adobe free trial for like 30 days and you can try it out. I use Jasc Pro Paint Shop Pro 8, it comes with it when I bought the computer recently. I'm not sure if it's free, just check it out. They have similar features as the adobe one.

I use Micrografx Picture Publisher. oO I can't afford any of the fancy programs either, so I just the wannabe one we have at work. At home I use GIMP. Not the best, but then I don't really do heavy duty image work like wallpapers or anything, just little banners or icons. It's good for that at least. Plus it's free. ^^;

I use both Photoshop 7 and GIMP, though I've been mostly using the GIMP recently.
If Photoshop costs too much try the GIMP, its free to download, and is definately good enough to edit sigs, avatars etc...
And as a bonus works on Windows, Mac and Linux.

PaintShop Pro 9.01. It's not very good in saving in JPEG format, but otherwise it's really good in many ways, like being easy-to-use, having several quick-filters to add effects, scripts and batch-processing... So yes; I think it's better than Photoshop for us casual users. Photoshop or Illustrator might be better suited for pros who can actually draw, though.

I use GIMP it is "open sourse" which means that it is absolutly free. It's good for generic work, but the text editor is a little lame.

For me I use Photoshop 7...

If you don't want to use your money, GIMP is a free software, its also quite good although not as powerful as Photoshop

I use Photoshop CS2, its the best editing program you can get. Most people may argue by using Macromedia Fireworks or Jasc Paint Shop Pro, but if applying for a job with graphic design for a company a USUAL requirement is that your a photoshop user or are quite familiar with the program.

And to ~Helix123, I also had all those programs :P But as with you as well I had to take em off for space reasons. Good apps though :)

But back on topic, ~Yukming the best thing for you to do would be go on a P2P or a Torrent tracker and search for photoshop. Thats what I did.
