Subaru & Nanoha
1 Page: [ 1 ]
Halo guys, guess you guys don't know who I am. I'm just back to AP after a year because I'm busy with school works, even now. But sometimes I post some song in Anime Dump and request for some song when I was bored but not really active, think I'll start to active again.
Alright, get to the point. This new work is the drawing after my last drawing for about 8 months. Banzai~~~
That's a really long time until my skill have become lousy. Here's the copy work of Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanaho StrikerS, Subaru and Nanoha together. Still copy, I'm useless...
I spent 3 hours on this just for the rough work.. My drawing really become lousy...
I have never ever improve my shading skill, still lousy, so I don't even dare to shade on this. Want to use photoshop to colour but don't know how to use photoshop. Waaa~~~
Anyway, that's all for me want to say. Long time no post in AP so become so talkative. XD Any comment is welcome. Teasing also welcome. Anything also welcome. Thanks~~

Wai~ It's meccha kawaii, very cute! It's quite well done and well proportioned. I have a little trouble with hands, but you don't seem to have that problem at all! It'll look even better without the smudges, but I guess that can't be helped ne?
I still like it alot, very cute! ^-^

Oooh, that's very nice, but it shouldn't take you 8 months to do it! I mean, it's a sketch! It should be quick! It should just take you from 10 minutes to 5 days. Nothing more than that!

Err... It's not I draw this for 8 months, this work a 8 months later work after my last work. Don't take it wrong...

It's so pretty! I like how you draw hands... and the clothes are amazing.
I wish I could draw like you! My proportions are all so yucky. XD

Since you so graciously asked for my opinion, I'll give it to you.
It looks pretty good. You seem to understand the proportions pretty well but I have to tell you straight up to change your style. There are so many people who do this kind of anime art and it's actually getting kind of lame (for me).
It's good that you're pretty good at this, but try and explore other styles of anime because the more you explore, the better chance you'll have at creating your own style.
I haven't seen how you color so I can't really criticize you on that. Also, work on darkening the lines and add shading so the drawing comes out more.
One last thing, the girl on the right for some strange odd reason looks like a boy. I don't know what you did but she looks like a boy in girl's clothes.

Ya, I also have the same feeling about you say that kind of drawing is kind of lame. Because a lot of artist did the same. Maybe...
But most of my work are just copy from the scans or pictures, seldom draw origin.
Well, maybe I should start to draw origin, but I said this a long time ago but I'm still keep copying... And school had a lot of works, actually can't afford the time on drawing. I completely don't know anything about photoshop except the CROP section.
And my hand-colouring is bad as well, shade as well. The reason I can't shade is because I don't know how to compare where the light come from, so I just shade all of the picture..
If you want to see the picture I can post on here.Huh? Really? She really look like a boy? I have no idea, I just copy the original scan. Maybe is due on my line not really appear and cause a result like this.
Ok, that's all I wan to say for the moment, wait for your reply ab-angel. Please excuse me if my grammar is wrong... =.=||| Alright then, see you.

lol, as long as I understand what you're saying
Anywho, I thought I couldn't shade, but after seeing one of my classmate's drawings (who's a natural) I started shading, and it was all off, but what I did was I constantly copied the shading from the pictures I copied from and eventually, I learned where the light comes from and I became a natural at shading. My free hand at drawing is weak, but my free hand at shading is pretty strong.

Quite good, but you haven't learn how two deep the color in the somewher to make the picture more three-dimensional...
