This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

I've been keeping up with most Apple related rumours. But I haven't heard anything about iPods with Bluetooth and the ability to share.

Here's a quote from Steve Jobs on the Zune's "community" feature.

Steve Jobs
In a word, no. I've seen the demonstrations on the Internet about how you can find another person using a Zune and give them a song they can play three times. It takes forever. By the time you've gone through all that, the girl's got up and left! You're much better off to take one of your earbuds out and put it in her ear. Then you're connected with about two feet of headphone cable.

The last update for the iPods was fairly recent (5G > 5.5G), better screen, longer battery life and a few more software features.
The Nano's have been updated recently, and the new 2G Shuffle has only just come out.

From what I've been hearing, don't expect any new iPods before Christmas, of course I could be completely wrong.

What I have been hearing about for a while now, is the rumoured touch-screen iPods (there have been quite a few patent applications), and the iPhone (again a few patent applications). There was a rumour of a wireless iPod a while back, though I haven't heard anything about it recently, also it wasn't from the most reliable of sources.

I'm interested as to where you heard about an iPod with bluetooth file sharing?

As for finding information on future Apple products, well there are some rumour sites, but that's all they are as Apple is very secretive about new products.

Here's a couple of sites:
Mac Rumors
AppleInsider

Ive heard rumors of it coming out mid dec which just sounds weird timing. its supposed to be full touch screen ipod with wireless i believe but i doubt it.

lets clear a rumour about the zune file sharing, i have watched a few videos on it, it takes about 15 seconds max i believe. Though i wont have much use for it seeing how im probably going to be the first person on my island and prob in my province(exagerrating a little on that last one) to get a zune seeing how i live in canada and i just ordered on through ebay yesterday

Apple's probably looking at a bluetooth ipod, but using a much more elegant implementation than microsoft's (that quite by steve wasent exactly one of his best...i expected a little more foresight for him, as i would truly appreciate such a feature)

However, if it does come out, it wont be soon. Remember, apple prides itself on minimalistic features and great design. There are plenty of great feature rich players out there (though i wont really recommend the zune, as MS is much more aggressive when it comes to drm than apple. Not only did they ditch the playsforsure format, a day might come when you have to 'activate' your zune whenever you load a song.)

Is it true that on the zune after you share a song and listen to it three times you cannot hear the song anymore and have to buy it on the internet?? That's so lame i saw it, it's true check it on this review on the wireless part.

Yea the reason you can't keep a song forever is because it would be pirating and m$ would get its ass sued off.
its flagged so if you reallly want to pirate you can find the name out in the zune software.

what the hell does activate mean?
don't like drm go free the illegal or orangline(prob not spelt right), don't have to worry about bullshit drm

Amusingly enough there are some music files which are licenced in such a way (certain Creative Commons licences) that adding DRM to them is illegal.

Though I wonder how long it will be until someone manages to hack the Zune so that it won't add the DRM, or maybe install Linux on it.

We'll right now there is a way to send any files(hack to use the zune a hdd) and keep them forever, you just got to rename with .jpg, since the zune doesn't apply drm to that.

on creative commons i heard about that but i don't remember the whole thing in which i think part of it was addressed iunno. Though i can't wait for linux or something so i can really open up my zune.

Well, with them using Toshiba's HDD (Hitachi Microdrive modified), I think the capacity will increase on and on. Bluetooth capability would be nice adding, but I wouldn't die for it personally.

I'm getting 80gb model on my birthday.

There is no 120Gb iPod at the moment.

Apple's latest iPods are:
2nd Generation iPod Shuffle: 1Gb
2nd Generation iPod Nano: 2Gb, 4Gb and 8Gb
5.5 Generation iPod: 30Gb and 80Gb

IPhone is out... it's basically a phone + widescreen iPod [8gb or 4] + safari web browser + OSX + 2MP camera...
it's $499 though... but that is the avj. price for a smart phone nowadays.

Shame it's tied to Cingular at the moment. Also, the OSX system it uses is a closed system, not open to third-party developers, or so I read on various sites. Looks beautiful, though ;D

If I remember correctly, the iPhone uses a sim card...which means that you can change the cingular sim card to any-other service you want... and if you cannot do that, I bet somewhere in asia someone will figure it out... their geniuses with their cell phones.
