My point is a finicky one. Those birds simply wouldn't be silhouetted black in such good lighting. I recommend making them white instead, as that's the colour gulls would be, anyway, and it's more believable to think that they're reflecting bright light than no light at all.

Other than that, you're dandy.

I personally like it better if the birds' colour are white. It express the beach situation better than black.
But yeah, considering the bg, if you make it in white, probably we' won't be able to see the birds... or can we?
This wall is simple, but it's better that way.
I just think that the girl is too bright...
But again, maybe it's just what a girl in a beach should've look like.
Not much I can say to you. Sorry for that.

This is very nice. I probably wouldn't have noticed the bird thing had it not been pointed out, but now that it has it bothers me too. I too would go for white and perhaps just a touch of shading on the edges for defination (white would be a bit hard to see with your BG).

Otherwise, very nice. I like it :)

Hmmm...the birds, like everyone said should be white instead, as being in black during the bright day doesnt really seem too...real?

As for the background, the ocean looks 3-D or should i say real-life-ish, a photo perhaps? Try making it a bit more 2-D, because a real-life like photo with an anime character doesn't really look that good. And another thing if you can, try adding an island so that the wallpaper won't seem too empty or plain.\

The only thing I have to say is......fix the birds ^^...as everyone said...birds can be black only if they're in front of the sun...and I guess that the birds in this wall should be white...but I think that this wall is very well done!

Not bad, but the first thing I noticed is that the lifering is translucent so you can see her legs, but does not show the sea through the rest of it. You should fix that :P

There is a bright reflection on the sea but no sun visible in the sky... try adding one in with some sort of sun ray effect. The birds should be off-white blue-grey rather than black; one of them appears to have a drop shadow which makes it look flat as well. Likewise, try using blue for the text so it blends in more than stark black.

Okay, i'll take Furikuu and the other's suggestion. I put the reflection of the sea on the girl's lifering, change the colors of the seagull into white, and the font into blue.

You need to fix the extraction. Extraction on some parts of the hair are a big jagged. I also think that the scan is too bright. It kinda hurts my eyes.
You need to work on the background. The quality is kinda low because the parts of the background is grainy. Go to this site -->> http://www.sxc.hu/ you'll find a lot of useful stock images there for this wallpaper. You'll find cool clouds, and some beaches..
I never liked the scriptina fontstyle. I don't think that it looks good on a wallpaper. The "summerday" fontstyle looks nice.. Use the same fonstyle for "Da Capo".

Hi this is my last post for today(my first day in anime paper) and I have to say that I like it. The way that Da capo is writen and the birds(maibe you can tell the font or the link ^^) I like the way and the color of the words in the first if you can make all the birds white and the leters like the first will be great but is just a think of taste and Is great, and I have a question of the background, first the clouds looks a bit wiar (but the clouds are wiar >_<) and second how do you make it? my first impresion was that you put an anime picture on a normal bacground but if you do that wy the background looks like a painting... the sea looks like a photo but the sky looks like a painting is just a nice touch ^^ I like it and the way that you cut the girl, the air looks a bit strange but the hair is always dificult whit the pen(I really dont know so much but I try to make ... mmm ... well I use the pen(today) to make cut a girl and the hair was a nightmare, I even use other tools to make it perfect ^^ but in your case the hair problems are well you can fixed in one second, for the way that you fix the birds I think that you have the photoshop(in photoshop format) of the image... and I truly think that you can fixed whit the pen in like 10 seconds so ^^ if you can make it well make it ^^
