Hmmm... it is your choice to believe in anything. but for me He existed. there is no harm in believing in someone omnipotent, pmnipresent, and omnisceint. plus, there are a lot of religeons out there that are like christianity who believes that jesus came to save us people from hell. even if someother thinks that the persona that other religeons beleves in does not really exist. so in questions like this, all comes down in what faith you believe in.

I dont really believe in "religions" that much. Whats the point theres always something bad, but there is good too. The bad beign a bloody history that still continues such as jews and the islams killing each other. Same with catholics and protestants more hate there. I always thought that religions were about not killing and just living a good life. Then again do you need a religion to know that. Also When you die is just a mystery. Cause what is life really about? Is it about a man named jesus and whether he existed or not? And whether or not you believe if he existed or not? Will you be damned if you didnt? No. Maybe the answer is sitting right there, always has been. You just have to stop, stop everything think about your past, present and future. Whos in it? Its you. How you live your life is yours and yours alone. Be it bad or good. In the end you die. Where do you go when you die is up to you. Maybe if you believe in Heaven you will go to Heaven. Maybe if you believe in Reincarnation you will come back again. Maybe there is nothing and you will be nothing. What is faith? Its to believe. In what? God? I say believe in yourself what ever the outcome. Live your life for yourself be happy and also dont follow a religion if its more of a chore then or by force too. Do it if you love it or like it. Not cause someone told you, you had to do it.

Oh yes I belive if you do bad thingsthen bad things will happen to you (karma). course thats just me. ^_^

Yeh, Jesus did exsist there is a lot of evidance, but is he a son of God or does God exist, we will never know, but most likely god does not exist, which is too bad.........

Most likely Jesus did exist, but over time the fact and myth had mixed and warped into the form we see today. No way to tell how much of each is represented, no way to tell if Christian today is the way it was intended by Jesus or not. Exactly why we need faith, because there is no way science or logic can explain those things i mentioned above.

Oh he existed alright, just not in the current depiction of him. For one, Jesus is not white, and he did not sport the long hair-do commonly seen in his pictures (this was a result of the "fashion" style in the middle ages when most nobles and knights who had a very similiar look, thereby transfering to the era's art and made popular).



A male skull was found in Israel that dated to the 1st century, and using artistic forensics, they rebuilt the face using multiple layers of clay. Granted, the skull is not of Jesus himself, it is moreso similiar due to geography and the time period.

Makes me wonder... how do you think the society would react if, out of the blue, the portrayal of Jesus shifted to this picture? Do you think people would take it offensively despite its realism, guilty of racism?

This is incorrect, the jewish historian Josephus (born a few years after Jesus' death) wrote about Jesus existence. People who were alive when Jesus was alive would have still been around when he recorded this also...

There really isn't much debate over whether or not Jesus existed... this is widely accepted. Whether or not he was the Son of God is what is the heated point.

another thing about Jesus' looks... the Bible explicity says Jesus was not aesthetically pleasing...

I'll be honest. I believe that there was Jesus as a person.. I'm not very sure that the whole.. "image" of Jesus is a little.. not real. To me, I just can't believe one person has the power to do so much like that.. even if it was help from God.. it just seems unnatural to me.
I'm partically scientific when it comes to things.. I'll really only believe if I've seen it myself or if there was enough evidence to support certain things. But, then again.. I do believe in angels and spirits as well.
As for the history.. yeah, it seems weird to me.. I've read the bible and well, I thought it was a load of crap. (no offense to anyone.) When you think about it, the bible was written by others who have mostly only heard the encounters.. and that getting travelled down and translated through time.. I think some of the things written would get off a bit.
I have nothing against anyone who believes in anything. It's your right to do so. I only get angry when people come into my face and starting telling to accept Jesus and that he can save me if I repent now.
No, what I believe.. I was saved, but not by him. I believe in angels.. and well, my brother became one and saved me many times.

I'm not Christian but i do think he existed.

However i'll make it clear that i don't think that he was the son of god and anything special, i only think that he was a good prophet and his teaching etc etc recruited alot of people.

Jesus did exist no doubt about it, the question is did he really do what he did, did he reall perform these miracles, was Mary still a virgin even though she had been knocked up etc.

Hmmm.. An Interesting Thread! Even I wasn't a Christian, but from some fact in the bible, prove that Jesus is trully the Son of The God.. You must be ever heard about the story when He sacrafice Himself in the cross.. The sky immidiately became dark and the thunder became freak'in crazy! Did God will do all that thing just for a normal human sacrafice? That's all what I can say..

I personally think, if he really did do wonderous things, that Jesus was a time traveller who thought he was going to the time of Jesus, only to get stranded in the past and BECOME Jesus. using futuristic technology and medicine to perform his miracles. woa--like totally far out-he he --if he was a time traveler you would think he would have come up with better documentation then word of mouth and better "miracles". Most of his miracles can be explained with modern technology though so your probbly right :) so Jesus is now Dr. Who--I like it.

There is even historical evidence that he might have existed. I'am not sure was he "the miracle man" the Bible is talking about but sure is that he is the one who created the christianity. Maybe he is more like some sort of profet?
