I got this little thing against medical certifcates these days if you could opinonate lol. The thing is one of my senior management consultant didnt come to work one week. Next week he came in with a medical certificate and hands it to my secretary to give to me. The thing is, he calls in sick saying he was really sick and unable to get out of bed haha to his misfortune i saw him during the week in a cafe with some friends and he didnt look sick, next thing is i saw him on a friday night at high end night club lol is he really sick?
the funny thing is i approached him after receiving the certifcate and ask him so how was the clubs etc.. his like what you mean, and i said i saw him and he tells me that he has a twin brother? the funny thing is i remember when i was interviewing him for the job he said he was the only child haha . I'm just thinking to myself you have the nerve to lie to me, lol i would of sacked him on the spot but he was one of my best consultants so i told him from now on if your well enough to get a dr.certificate your well enough to go to work =D

Oh down here dr.s give away certificates just like that lol. You may not be sick but just say havnt felt well and say you need rest if they could write a certificate. But you still have to pay the normal fee of examination or whatever which is about $50. So basically it cost him $50 to get 1 weeks pay lol, but i didnt pay him cuz i busted him, his lucky i didnt sack him instead hehe

Weird though, my mom has a nasty job of a manager but never want to get sick o_O I guess the guy wanted to get so bad that he had to lie. How naughty xD

Not sure what got into that guy all of a sudden, driving him to lie to you about being sick. Let's just hope this is a one time thing and doesn't happen again.

Its just a funny thing, my life is interesting lol
i remember one of the other executives hired this one guy as a junior executive and he quite after 1hr. reason being apparently is because quote " i dont want to work for a 21 year old whos half my age yet is a senior of mine"
i laughed and said "well we were gonna pay you 120k a year but if you dont want that , then thats fine its not like i care i earn double what you where going to earn"

Thus it also brings me to another discussion, How do you guys feel working under someone younger than you?
Does it really matter so long as they know what there doing?
