The Reason of Human Existence
5 months 3 weeks ago
A few days ago i had to say goodbye to my best friend and reco´gnized that i have now nothing left in my live, what makes me Happy?.
Now i asking myself what is the reason of my existence?
It has nothing to do with the meaning of live just the personal Reason.
The most People lives just for other like Friends or Family or Work
I have no friends left now and family is a difficulöt thing for me.
I want to know what is other peoples Reason to live on?
Just to overcome my Life Crisis now XD

My god, this thread might get locked soon.
Hey, you're not thinking about suicide, are you?
I felt sorry about you and your best friend. It's always hard o let go precious things. So keep your chin up and keep walking until the end of the road.

Go out more, work out, get a date, anything, just distract yourself from this emotion, because it could destroy you mentally if you leave your problem as is. The pain can be unbearable, but you CAN OVERCOME, believe in yourself.
Counseling thread, emo, etc.
Go to a room, listen to linkin park etc
then get online and go back to Gaia.
Sorry, I had to do it.
Seriously, just because others are gone doesn't mean you have to lose the will to live, I am saddened more by the fact how your parents should be ashamed for such a misguided behavior. I am sorry for your loss, but this is not how it should be taken. By the way, I am quite the same, I just lost a known relative yesterday, as a matter of fact, I am just back from his funeral.

I've been in your position more than once, but i felt that there was more to live for. just life itself is a precious thing. after living through various difficult times, i am now much stronger than i would have been. i am also more able to understand other people, i can sympathize with them. i am now respected and well liked by many, because of the approach i took to my past experiences, and learning form them. i wouldn't trade my life for anything now, or any other life. when hard times come upon us we need to view them as chances to grow and learn. now that you have this problem you can make the choice to go out and find ways to socialize with more people, then in the future, saying goodbye will still hurt, but not as much. and you'll always have other people there for you.
if you need to vent, or help with something, or simply need to talk to someone, there are many here who will be willing to lend an ear, myself included.

What usually gives us reason for our existence is the "difference" with each day we live. Excitement, events, friends, these are all part of it.
I know the feeling of sort-off not knowing the reason for living, sometimes I end up wondering why I'm even alive in the first place... when there doesn't seem to be any purpose whatsoever.
Anyway, thrive for adventure and try doing something new from time to time, I believe that can help you :P

Music keeps me going (family and friends too, of course, but you can find that art alone is enough reason to keep living).

Just remember what Dumbledore's words to Harry Potter in the seventh book.
"Pity the living. Not the dead, Harry"

The reason for existence is to experience life?
To be part of the cycle in the nature? Maybe, we are just an accelerator to the earth's revolution. We are the catalyst~!
Or maybe it is fate? We have to exist because there is a mission for us - human - to accomplished? That's what anime/drama/novel always say.
Whatever the reason is, it's good that we are alive and we are able to experience things that those who leave the world cannot. (:

Mankind is just a feeble existence that sprung out of nowhere. We have no objective, we have no purpose. Our life-span, compared to the universe in general, is insignificant. We are born, we live, and we die. We enjoy, we suffer, we experience. But, it's all meaningless. We don't take anything to our graves, we come from dust, and become dust again.
You ask what's the reason of your existence? I will tell you right now, in 1 word: none. Your birth and/or death won't change anything on the infinite threads that make up the fabric of time and space. If you weren't born, no one would have missed you because you didn't exist, and if you die, people might mourn you, but will move on. So basically, you have no reason to be alive.
But, out of this, there's an interesting possibility. Since we have no purpose, that means we are able to create our own outcomes to the way we live life. So, you can keep whining there due to the lost of your friend, or you can go out and make some new ones. It's all up to you.
I'm a realist, which is why I don't fool myself with the idea that we are unique, and more of that delusional blabber. The tone of this post isn't like me at all, though, since I'm a happy-go-go dude

The reason I keep going is to see what happens next.
Life is a good experience, although I think in a scientific sense knowing we are just here as any other animal is here. We live and we die. But we also have emotionals and thoughts and we always have created a socitey and religion. I think we are involved and very intelligent beings and we should all go through life and live on to see what happens next and to create new memories. I know my way of thinking at first sounds wrong but then I think deeper and there just might be a meaning to life other than indulgening in the small things of this world. We just have to wait and see.

Purpose in life, well to me that is to leave evidence that you were alive, change someone's life, a country, the world even.
We all strive to leave some sort of memory that you existed, otherwise there would
be no meaning to life, and if there is no meaning to life than we wouldent be here. But we all have a purpose that we need to fufill. Why do we do this, because we need to be rembered.
Well thats what I believe, which is why I am going to be a doctor/surgeon as my career.
