Television isnt that what it once used to be!
Recently i watched after a long time TV and iammore then dissepointed more then that iam angry.
Here in Germany we had in the past great TV Shows and when i was a child i loved to watch TV because we had Channel for Cartoon/Anime and end every wednesday and on the weekend was showed great Movies but the TV shows today are not the same anymore.
The only Channel for animes i have is bullshit there are anime wish i would never watch like Dinosaur king for a longer time we have Naruto but it pissed me off when i watch it its censored everywhere even in the speaking they dont even say one time "Kill" wich was replaced to Fight or "i will defeat you".
The best thing is the whole day on themost channels are runnig TV Shows about Cocking or "how to decorade our House" or "weve got a Baby" and such TV Shows the whole Day on the most Channels.

It certainly changed. But in my case, I can say it become better and better. Since new press convention is released by government, there are many new TV Station with varied content, highly competitive to get a market view (-> which make their content more specific and a bit higher in term of quality)

Sure youre right but in our country it ismore extreme i can understand it when the censored it but they censored it that much that i think they even change a little bit the Story. The last Anime wich was good was Yu-Gi-Oh!

The bane of all people who actually enjoy television is 'Reality' TV shows. They are inane, degrading, stupid wastes of time. People wonder why I enjoy anime so much... it's different! It challenges norms! It is constantly changing! My 2 cents anyway. Beware when your country starts all those reality shows, soon you will see nothing but!

Maybe that's why I don't watch TV much now, although I used to watch a lot of them. I used to watch anime on TV because I had hardly watched any Japanese-dubbed anime back then. When I started watching anime that came straight from Japan and not one on TV here in Canada I just started to hate 'Americanized' anime. There're still great shows on TV I like like stuff on History channel and Discovery, but I'm just too lazy to look up their TV schedules and time myself to watch their shows whenever they aired because it's too much of a pain. And besides, I've got other forms of entertainment now so that's why I hardly watch TV. The only 'shows' I watch on TV are the news...but that's it lol

I live in California and there is barely anything good on. Most channels just show game shows and reality shows. I do enjoy some of the new cartoons though (chowder and flapjack) but there is nothing I would go out of my way too watch.

I actually don't watch much live television anymore. I watch a lot of shows (such as anime... and The Office :D) but they're on DVD and whatnot.
Too true. I have sky, and even with 999 channels.. I hardly ever find anything worth watching. Though I find myself watching the discovery channels more often now. I hate the movie channels.. since they always show the same films over and over again. But yeah, I hardly ever watch tv anymore either.. who needs tv when you've got the internet =o
I say worse and if someone askes me one more time who I want to be evicted/win on big brother I will kill them. Or maybe just disown them as a friend. I have sky so I can usually find soething to watch though that might go downhill soon if no new (good) programs come on since all I seem to be watching is reruns I never watched the first time( saying frasier will tell how long ago).

Nowadays everithing's made for money, including the TV programs and shows. But being made for money, doesn't mean they're good. I stopped watching tv 2 years ago and from time to time i get a grasp at a tv series or a talk show on the air and they make me puke. Boring but sparkly, and yet normal people watch that cr*p. I just don't understand them...

I watch TV simply for the weather and news and I'm in my teens doesn't that tell you something? I'm a heavy movie downloader and I don't care what anyone thinks because the shows that they have on television now is all crap to me. Reality TV shows are pathetic, if I wanted to see that crap, I'd just record my own life. I only watch the latest episodes of The Simpsons and Family Guy. I kind of feel your pain lol!

i dont even want to start on reality tv shows(but i'm going to anyway). recently, a new one started here... something called "Taken out"... single girls and boys hop on a panel and let the other decide whether they want to take him/her out on a date or not... its ridiculous... is the human specie lacking so much as to rely on a tv show to help them find a mate?!?
and the weekend movies they put on! it cant kill them to get another license to broadcast a new movie!! it doesnt even have to be new! i mean, i love shrek, but seeing it 5 times a yr is just absurd...

I don't find myself watching it as often either. I enjoy National geographic, Comedy central, and Adult Swim, but a lot of other stuff is boring and sometimes stupid. Reality shows can be the worst, watching a bunch of people being retarted and yelling at each other. I have a tough time ever watching that stuff. A lot of the things I watch are online, mainly anime. I normally watch tv only if I know somethings coming on that i want to watch like House.
I completely agree about how cartoons just started sucking. I suppose that's one reason it's good to have Boomerang, old cartoons are so much better.

Honestly with so much reality Tv out there I really only watch anime with my little free time, maybe Spike Tv but mostly things I have on DVDR
