After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Television a once decent form of art and entertainment has mostly become trash in general. The shows aren't as funny as they used to be. In modern television they stick to sick humor and things which aren't even necessary! Before, it would be mostly just simple sarcasm, mistakes, etc. that would make people laugh. Now, it seems, they have that plus, sick humor, swearing, adult content, etc.

Now it seems like you can't find a good family show, it's either a kids show, a show for teens, or an adult show. Even though there are still shows out there that families could watch together that are fairly clean, I wish they would bring back some of the classical shows and get rid of every reality shows. Even kids programs are not nearly as creative and good hearted as they used to be. Everything is motivated by money and that is the problem with these companies forcing us to watch junk. Large groups of companies work together these days to try and shape minds into becoming competitive and impulsive people that are very profitable to them in the long run. Greed is making this a very sick world more and more for years now.

Cartoon Network:
-Now:
--Crappy, poorly drawn and written shows full of Ed, Edd, and Eddy jokes.
-Then:
--Jokes that were funny, plots that at least made sense somewhat, drawing was nice for the time, and Ed, Edd, and Eddy was the only stupid thing on, but that's what made it funny anyways.

MTV:
-Now:
--Bleh.
-Then:
--It actually played music. Who would have thought? A music station, that plays music!

In the Philippines...I think that the repetition of anime here is okay because people here don't complain about the TV shows..

I haven't watched for a long time..so I can't describe what they show now..however as I've known..they were showing good anime shows on a TV station..so I guess anime showing is nice now. ^^

You should see Brooke Knows Best and you'll go "Eurgh."

Like we care.

Reality TV is the fad today, I guess. It's starting to grow old. They have another Survivor coming up--the nth edition. Yikes.

And that's why I don't watch tv.

If I do, it's only Countdown with Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow. Everything else I get for the web. I get my news, entertainment, etc...

Last weekend we were watching Fantasy from Walt Disney, and the characters even stories from back then were good, at least had story, something to tell, now house of mouse is cute, CG, educational is good, but the other are so bad even the drowng is awful!
Sometimes I can not even select disney channel, prefer nick junior with Dora and wonder pets or cbeebies with Roly Mo. dont eventhink in cartoon network!
Cannot choose sony channel or WB channel becuase you only see blood, and sex >_>
Definitively tv at this moment is not good for everybody

I have to say I absolutely agree. It seems like they aren't even trying anymore and are just rushing out the "next best thing" without even checking to see if it's something the people will enjoy. If only they knew that patience works in the long-run and actually made sure their shows were quality. Although with some there is sort of a lack of imagination and just a repeat of the same old thing over and over, I mean how many shows can you possibly have where they try to fix someone's house, never mind all the music competition shows like Canadian/American/etc. Idol. Also the fact that good shows like The 4400 get canceled to make way for these horrible shows. It's almost as if they don't even care what the people want.

If the cartoons on TV were as good as anime I'd probably be more interested in them but it seems to be more or less like they are just trying to sell us a faulty product hoping that we don't see it's broken and buy more of their products. I know you can say that anime has it's fair share of merchandise as well, but at least anime has worthwhile stories and characters that make the product enjoyable rather than just an empty excuse for selling a bunch of items.

But overall it just feels like it will never get better, they are too far past the point of ever being able to convince themselves that the customer is what matters. It's sad that it's more about ratings and how quick a buck they can make than actually making the watcher happy.

Have to agree with the comments above, tv and broadening to other entertainment - movies, games have become stagnant with cashing in on franchises or remakes seeming to be an increasing norm. With the risk associated with new IP's it seems studios/publishers prefer to stick with a solid bet, unless it's yet another cheap to produce reality tv show *sigh*. You do find the odd gem, but for me living in Australia while admittedly getting better we have been constantly behind in timely access to the media (games and TV mainly). With in the past some shows and games we get a year behind other countries. Its no wonder that when shows finally get here we get poor ratings as the technology savvy has sourced the quality shows off the internet, get what we want to watch and dont have to put up with ads hence not bothering to watch something we have seen already. This does have the adverse effect of quality shows getting a poor run and getting unfairly axed if based purely upon ratings.

I agree with the TV not being what it used to be. Sure you have such "funny" shows like South Park, Beavis and Butthead, and King of the Hill. They all make me feel really stupid if I watch those shows. Of course remake shows such as Battlestar Galactica, and reinvent the wheel of shows like Moonlight. BTW I like those shows. Of course reality TV has really taken over and that is just annoying, but the mass love it and want more of it.

Game shows have always been up and down, recent one is Deal or No Deal. Slight older shows like Who wants to be a Millionaire were better because they made you think. Variety shows are coming back, starting with Idol. I recall growing up watch Star Search.

Someone mention all the home decorating shows, hey guess what channel those are on? TLC and Discovery. I feel the owner of those channels are just out of ideas, they used to show great shows on what tomorrow was going be like and the latest inventions. Now nothing but remodeling shows!!

I still watch some TV shows like Reaper, Chuck, Battlestar, and the like because they entertain and they are like the shows of the 80s, and 90s I grew up with.

Sorry for the rant.
