what if there is no love in this world?
We'd have a lot more casual sex...
Seriously. Society functions based upon reciprocity - as in you scratch my back and I scratch yours, which in turns has the potential to develop into friendship, trust, and a sense of happiness. Breeding, a product of the need to "win at evolution" will go on nevertheless and "partnerships" (aka marriage) of people will form in hopes of raising a healthy child able to survive in the world. Furthermore, parents, who protect their children out of an evolutionary need to pass on their genes, will continue to do so without "love"...
In fact, the only real difference we'll see in a world without "love" is a lot less cuddling after sex.

I agree with Cheese on this one, without love there would be no humanity, we would all die.
Of course the answer to this question will vary for different people because they have different understanding of what the true meaning of love is. For example, Alex (ColdCore) explained that his understanding of love is simply reproduction, and in summerSkyes' case its more about attachment between people.
I think that love is something that motivates a person to care. I'm sure there are people and things that you care about enough to say something like "I love my girlfriend/car/cat". You tend to do good things for them because it makes you happy, and if something bad happens to them it makes you sad.
Now if you take that love away what will happen? You will no longer do good things because you simply will not care about their wellbeing, which might not seem like much at first. But if you apply it to a larger scale, like the whole world, things will be much worse. Everything would fall apart. Of course everyone wouldn't simply die as soon as it is taken away, but I'd say within a week majority would starve and dehydrate because they would not love themselves to satisfy their basic needs.

I think NO love would not no humanity is not true.Humans are busy every single day. They have a lot of thing they wanna do. even If humans don't find love, they still live in the world. ...Nothing happen
No damn difference really! The world is not filled with loving people so there really is no need to imagine what it would be like without love and if your simply curious, then it would pretty much be the same as it is now. There is only one thing that would be better in a loveless world, there would be no need for bullshit or lies, people simply would not give damn about you and tell it to your face, which I prefer.
First of all, there is love, that's a fact, people that claim that there is not, have never felt it, what about those that have experienced it? Are they lying? the problem is that when you start to like somebody at first, and then find out eventually that he/she wasn't the one and that things crashed and burned, you think that you were fooled and that true love doesn't exist, that is when you lose faith in love, but you shouldn't, because in order to find the right partner and to understand what true love is all about, you have to face setbacks, you have to struggle, experience lots of things - both good and bad -, that was the way I grasped what true love really is, I couldn't understand it before I experienced a lot of setbacks, because when you are together and things seem perfect, you can't realize if that is real love or not, everything is perfect in the beginning and there are hearts around your head, when you come to a point in the relationship where you realize that you might lose your partner, and you are terrified, that is when true love appears. Habit is another thing, that is when you are used to have that person around you, but you are miserable, because you don't truly love that person. A heart can't love 100% without risk of pain, even though love contains the most wonderful feeling, just like the rose is among the most beautiful flowers, but it has thorns, so love can either warm or burn your heart.
A world without love would be meaningless, would everybody hate each other? no families, friends, partners? even to like somebody is somehow related to love, you don't hate the person. What do studies show about children that experience tragic events, like, separation of their parents? psychological problems, anxiety, bewilderment, they see other families being happy and having fun together, they wish they had the same life, is that how things are supposed to be?
Judging by what I have seen lately, what one has never experienced, one will never understand in print. When I talk to somebody and he thinks that I am ridiculous, too young, unaware of love, I become annoyed, that's a fact, but actually I shouldn't become, because the reason behind his reaction is the fact that he never experienced the same thing, so how can he possibly understand me? and many of my friends and people I know, don't believe in love, that is because they gave up hope, never allowed their heart to feel pain, to love, to make crazy staff, there is no logic in love... so why do people think that you are crazy and ridiculous when you are in love and do crazy staff? I would call it real love...

If there's no love then less conflicts...
I bet it'll be fun if there's no such thing as love. Emotions can be a very powerful obstacle...

Woa, what a difficult question, for me love is basis for everything, there will be an another world without love if there iis no love exists in this world, and how many years will be when war beginns? no love, no sympathy, nothing, it will be very terrible! there is no merci for everthing, it make me feel hurt!woa then human will be no longer exist!i wonder what will happen worse than that!
If there was no love in the world then Lust would take over, it's just human nature to be turn on by an attractive opposite kin or to some others the same kind... Without love there would be no marriage, no sacred vows, or holy matrimony. Without love I seriously doubt people will even care about there friends or family for that matter. If there was nothing to fill in that missing gap then another emotion might take over, like I said previously Lust might fill in that missing gap or probably even Anger not knowing what to feel just might make you angry.
The world would be different
People would have weaker Bonds with people. also people would find it easy to argue, fight, etc, so the world would be completely different

"What if there wasn't actually any love"?
Ask your parents why you're alive and kicking.
'Cause of love, right?

Just because a child is born does not mean it came out of "Love" there's more than 1 reason for it.
KidGraveJust because a child is born does not mean it came out of "Love" there's more than 1 reason for it
yeah, but without love, how would the child feel? if you wouldn't care about it, read goodnight stories every night, give it milk to drink, hug and kiss it? even children can feel that something is wrong, when the parents argue about something and the child is in its bed, it cries, because it hears the screams and feels that something is wrong, isn't that how things are? so why are some kids healthy while some have psychological problems, more anxiety, can't focus etc? except if it was born with problems from the very beginning, but right now I am talking about kids that are healthy but encounter problems later in life. You don't choose to make kids with a stranger, you want to find the right partner, the one you will love and even sacrifice your life for, isn't that so? it is another thing if you get drunk and sleep with someone...
Well I can only answer this base on my feelings. This world is pretty love-less in the majority and if it wasn't, we would all be at peace. If this world was filled with love there would be no such thing as third world countries, children starving and eating out of trash cans if that. Orphanages, mothers killing there unborn children out of selfish needs. Money should be the first thing to perish if we ever want to take a step forward to prosperity but this will NEVER happen. Your life nor mine is worth more then money. If one day you accidentally stumble upon a gold mine on your own property and the higher ups or BIG-BROTHER finds out about it, they would have you and your family meet your untimely but efficient deaths! And trying to seek salvation through religion only makes the matter worse because when things go well in our life or rather people's lives, they praise God. And when things go poorly, they begin to question their faith in God. Quite the double-standard don't you think?
On top of that, every single one of us will die, most of us suffering in our final days. Why is death (something so certain) such a shock to us? Because people fool themselves daily into thinking that God promised them a perfect world. The only perfect world promised is Heaven and this is fleeting people, this was all written by MAN. So there really isn't anything to look forward to after your death. I really like your question, you asked as though it is a shocking concept to think that there really isn't any love in this world. I take it that you were a sheltered person who have avoided all forms of confrontations and have closed your eyes to all the bad that is actually happening in the world right now as I'm typing these words.
We are in a time of suffering and free will. If we want the world to be nicer, it is up to us to be the hands of God, to let our good influence our daily lives and the lives of everyone around us. Join a human rights group and start helping someone that is in need of your help.

Yeah, sorry about that. I know there are definitely other reasons, but I didn't say "born", now did I?
If you're still alive at this point, you've got to owe it to those who cared enough to raise you, right?
