I believe in the Christian heaven and hell. But of course I can't prove that it exists it all comes down to personal belief/faith.
In Buddhist, we believe something like that.
It says that, I we always do something wrong in our live, the next time you're reborn, you'll get punishment. Such like being reborn to be animal, or to be have a painful live. It says that you'll get the same from what you did in the previous live.

No. I think it is only eternal sleep when people dies, but I wish there is heaven.
Buddhist beliefs are very interesting, some north american native american cultures have similar beliefs I think.

My way of thinking is that every religions are true,
and more people think the same thing, more powerful
they'll become. first it was the Christians.
And now, its the Buddhists who are getting more and more
powerful.
personnally, i would like to become a ghost

Imo, religions are made by "inteligent" people and are meant to rule people's mind.
Think of what the world would be if there would be no religion. Chaos. Peoples are too easy to control.
About "next life" , i think there is just one "god" that you dont need to bring flowers to him or follow his steps or anything like that.
If you do good things this life you'll go into an eternal life where anything is beautiful & co. if you do bad things you will come again to earth untill you become good.
There is no such god that punishes people by sending them to hell, GOD it loving us , because we are his creation.

I hope there is, laying there for the eons to come (or not) sounds like a terribly boring idea. at least let me float around as a ghost. a heaven would be nice tho.
This is a very difficult question that's been asked since the dawn of time, and extremely abstract. I've heard countless theories, ranging from heaven and hell to reincarnation to nothing whatsoever! I don't really know what to believe, as I'm only human and can't really believe anything until i experience it myself or see it in action, although the beauty of faith is believing even without concrete proof. Nihilism is probably my favorite, it sounds so dead depressing. Nihilism is "an approach to philosophy that holds that human life is meaningless and that all religions, laws, moral codes, and political systems are thoroughly baseless, empty, and false." The ultimate pessimism!! But yeah, we won't really know until we get there.
Well you'll become a Rekongai citizen if you believe in Bleach

Hmmmmmm, it really doesn;'t matter to me, I only see that we end up losing our memories from are past life. But I can't prove that of course. I want to be on a ship (One Piece) in my next life anyway. :P
I believe the term ghosts are really much closer to being imagination than not.
The idea is really abstract, but depending on your cultural background, it may influence you to believe and not believe.
In Chinese terms, an afterlife means after you have completed your life, and departed for the Styx. (a chinese version also exist), and judged. In a way that could mean you end up in hell of heaven, and there are several degrees of hell, with some 18 levels to taoist, and some Japanese believe there 7 or 8.
So in terms of an afterlife, you sort of want to question if you are in a realm of belief or not, do you consider yourself a part of your beliefs? Some of us praise to be Christians, but have you the same conviction to do the Christian things? Do you even have absolute faith in Christ?
The same can be asked, if you have the convince feeling of understanding the religion you are born to, and hence, ask if its written specifics affect your real life. Can you believe? Or can't you believe?
Do you see what you believe? Or do you believe what you don't see?
