Do you believe in next life ?

To believe in afterlife is ridiculous for me.
The definition of death is when all organs have failed. Especially when the brain stops working, you cannot come back.
Now that your brain is not working anymore the logical consequence is that, what you called 'yourself', your soul or whatever cannot be generated anymore. Hence you are what humans call 'dead'.
It's extremely arrogant of humans to think that after that they would still live (wherever). Why do we, in an age where we don't have to believe in ancient religions anymore, because they aren't necessary due to research and stuff, still need to hold at something we should know doesn't exist?
Afterlife is an outcome of fear. The fear to vanish. Humans take their selves to important and cannot get on with the fact, that it's just a coincidence that they were born as this individual they experience.
And also that this experience will come to an end sooner or later.
We are lucky that we have the possibility to develop a deep mind and we are able to enjoy life much more than most livings on this planet I think.
But we don't appreciate that. We want more. We are greedy. We want to live forever... That's so pathetic really.
ANd why only humans out of all? Why wouldn't animals have the possibility to go to heaven too? You may argue with the "creation's crowning glory" humanity is in the opinion of christans and other religious communities... but that again is even more arrogant... to think something created us to rule our everything.
And in the end humaity will destroy the planet eventually. So nothing about cration's growning glory... in fact we are an accident, a disease killing the planet.
Evolution went to far in this respect. Ironic that so many people still think that humans stand over everything else.
Back to the topic again (because I seem to lose myself in that, and I don't want to bash humanity any more in this lol):
Our mind is just generated by this big cluster of albumen in our head (I'm reffering the brain for those who don't get it >_>). We don't even have something like a free will, our brain is controling us, generating any emotion and even more. We can only make use of a third and most processes run subconscious .
Why? Simply because our mind can't cope with all the stuff. We are lucky and only have to bear the comfortable things like what we call 'thinking' or our senses.
Now, seriously why the heck would only this little, for living not really that necessary part of our brain exist further (even when the causality vanished).
If you think about it, it's extremely dumb to believe our mind would somehow 'seperate' or move to some other dimension (heaven/hell etc).
You have to accept one thing:
Death is the end.
The end of your life, but not the end of your existence.
We all consist of a certain part of matter. After big bang all the matter that is arround the universe right now was released. And if you know something about physics/chemistry you know that things only change their forms, but nothing is created and nothing can vanish.
That happens with a dying human aswell, and we don't even leave our world. We become a part of our earth again.
Only because your appearance changed and you are not 'living' in a human sense anymore doesn't mean you don't exist anymore.
Life and Death are terms only to describe what happens with a human. Existence in contrast is something infinite, something incontrovertible.
So don't think too much about death or afterlife. Accept that your mind will vanish, but you will still part of the big everything. =)
Also you better enjoy your life instead of what comes after.
and I am not claiming, anything of what I just said is true =\
I'm just a little human too, how would I know...
This is just my personal opinion about the topic.

I don't believe in such a thing
because i believe when you die, you die.
Cells that makes up your body dies and decomposes.

I think there is another life after we die. There are still things out there that science cant prove yet. So for me, it's better to believe than not to believe.
Yes, I do believe in the afterlife.
But I think that the question 'Do you believe in the afterlife?' is the same as 'Do you believe in God?'
If you believe in the afterlife, then that means that you believe in some higher entity, God, Kami-sama, or whatever, because He is the only one capable of bringing a dead person back to life.
When you die, you do not exist anymore. You do not feel anything, see anything or experience anything. Anything at all.
There is no 'void' or 'eternal silence' or even 'nothing', cause that is also something.
When you die, the person that was 'You' is completely gone, leaving behind just your body, a pack of meat and bones. And no one can change that. No one mortal, that is.
That's why this is important. Only God can bring a dead person back to life, only He who gave you life in the first place has the power to bring 'You' back to life even after 'You' die.
So I'll say it again, yes I believe in the afterlife. Well, that's how I feel anyway...

I have a “philosophical” point of view on the life.
I don't believe in a next life, reincarnation, etc... litterally speaking. But we can interpret that all.
Pernonally, I think and I believe in the eternal life. But attention!I don't want to be eternal and live during 1 000 years... No. I said higher : a “philosophical point of view”.
A man do a lot of things during his life (acts, etc...), and it's here than he begin to become eternal : by his acts. For examples, see Mozart, M.L.K., and very Hitler.
So, we are eternal when we are living inside the people of future.
But, then, we must live our life now, and not a supposed next-life...
I've been undertood ? >_<
My english can be wrong... Sorry.

Yes and no. To me, the person you are now, after you're dead, you're dead. But your "soul" or whatever might live on and reincarnate. Or it might just become a ghost. Who knows?

I dont really know what to think. Ive seen numerous things i would consider as ghosts(including seeing my dead great grandmother staring at me through a mirror). However, i would love to think that there was a heaven and that when i die, i will turn into an angel with nice big white wings(cause my dream is to have wings).
NO. just no, i do't believe on something like that
even there is some people on my country who ever feel the same ._.

Being an atheist and a scientist, I don't believe in such a thing, besides 90% of mankind would not deserve another life thereafter :)
Truthfully i believe in a afterlife i have to say yes since i believe in ghosts and they are one form of after life... but i also think we will never know what is on the other side of said afterlife until everyone of us dies at the end of our lives cause no person who breaches this barrier will be able to tell anyone on the living side whats to come...

I do not believe in life after death.
I think it's ludicrous that even in the 21st century, people still believe in such nonsense.
To believe in the afterlife is to believe that humans have "souls," which make up their true selves. I, for one, find the idea of a soul impossible. A person's "self," in my opinion, is created within their brain, developing as they age. Thus, when a person dies and their brain ceases to function, their self ceases to exist. Gone. Extinguished. DEAD.
In my mind, we've only got one chance at this thing called life - might as well make the most of it while we can.
