Ghosts? Hrm...I don't believe in them until i see them face to face, but i get nightmares everytime i played any of the fatal frame series.

Like I said in the previous post I made here, just cause you've never experienced it doesn't mean the theory of ghosts being real isn't a reality. If you go back 1,000 years and told someone it's possible to fly to the moon, you think they would believe you?

Yeah, KidGrave does have a point. We can't prove they exist but we can't prove they don't exist either so it depends on the person if he/she will believe in ghosts but I think you should respect other peoples opinion regardless of your beliefs on the subject.

I actually believe in ghosts but I don't want to see, hear, feel or have anything to do with ghosts. XD I believe them because I have friends who can see ghosts and this friend isn't the type to lie about this since he IS a guy and he doesn't seek popularity that much. :D

Sometimes i don't want to believe in ghost.But, if i walk in the middle of night where there are nobody in there and in dark situation, i feel they are everywhere

I certainly do not dismiss the evidence (not proof) of "Ghosts" existence provided by reports from witnesses over centuries and scientific studies for over a century. Thus, ghosts are certainly a real human experience regardless of what the explanation (and I suspect they are different in different types of sightings) might prove to be. However I also believe that mental illness exists in varying forms and in more ways than how it is medically and popularly defined. I'm quite sure the majority of such illnesses will always go undiagnosed and many of these cases marked down to "supernatural phenomena." There is no way I can continue this opinion without going into an almost existentialist rant. Remember also that humans naturally have different ways of dealing with grief which may evoke experiences like hallucinations and dreams.

If ghosts do exist (ignoring the mental illness possibility) then I am actually a religious person and am unable to explain it. (on that note, the afterlife I believe in is commonly called "Christianity" and is a non-material state for the soul which can't be determined by man-made mathematical logic) In the spirit of Halloween I am not scared of ghosts anywhere near as much as I am about my niece jumping out at me with a toy spider. Personally I have never seen a ghost, cannot possibly imagine one and therefore when it really comes down to it, they do not exist for me.

I do believe in ghosts; I can say I've seen more than one in my life and it's kinda scary, interesting, but scary.

Many people say that they only believe in things that can be seen or touched, but let's take magnetism for example: we can't neither see magnetic forces nor touch 'em, but they exist. Gravity it's another good example.You because we can't prove that something exists it doesn't mean it does not exist.

I think we need to look at this question on a physical level rather than a spiritual level. The very implication of a ghost suggests that there is an intrinsic part of the human body/mind/being that can exist without any of the regulatory systems that we use before death. For poltergeist/spiritual communication to occur, the ghost would also require conscious thought. The neurological processes that make consciousness and self awareness possible are not widely understood but they are shown to occur physically in the brain. Without the brain and the rapid firing of neurons, this level of consciousness could not occur, surely eliminating any possibility of ghosts or even (dare I say it) the soul.

There are plenty of gaps in my knowledge but that's how I see it. Faith and folklore are so easy to follow but I'm a strong believer that everything should be questioned. If you really believe in a soul then use your mind to satisfy it.

Although Ghost and Spirits might be the same. Here is some info about them, A ghost is someone who has passed on and is "stuck" between the physical world and the Afterlife. They do not cross through The Light to go on to the Afterlife, but stick around in this "netherworld" for one reason or another. A spirit is a person who has passed on, but has actually gone through The Light and into the Afterlife. There they go through a life review learning process, and after that, are able to come and go between the Afterlife and our physical world. Spirits come back to watch over us, and to comfort us. Ghosts do not.

Hmmm... I never experienced anything that's supernatural or ghost like and I certanly don't want to. But there's half of me who believes such things as ghost and another half of me which doesn't... if that made any sense =.=. There are many thing that we humans don't understand until we see things for real.

One time I had this dream and for some reason I thought that the person in it was my uncle who has passed away. I don't know. I had the dream when I was 7, and now that I think about it, it was pretty creepy.

I really like El-ehh's analogy of magnetism, which is a force you don't see it but does exist. So that can go for the same as ghost. A phenomonen that could exist but which we cannot see. However, the question I have is, can ghost have a physical impact to this real world? and how does it interact with us in a physical basis that we can actually observe? So I agree with BitCloud there, I have seen some shows where there are people who call themselve spiritualist who can communicate with ghost and that's when I started to wonder if they are real or is it all made up stories by these people to make money? I have never seen a ghost nor have I ever experience this phenomenon, so I can't say 100% I believe they exist, but I can't write them off either that they don't exist.

I have never seen one, but there is plenty I can't see that is real. Just because I have had no personal experience dealing with it doesn't mean someone else hasn't. I can't say, though I like to think they do exist. Though when I go thinking about that I always imagine evil ghosts like from horror movies and when that happens I don't want to think they are as real xD

Yes I believe in Ghosts, I even had a lot of special events in which I was really scarred and I think this moments are concerned with ghosts. Either you 'll become a ghost or you get a new life after death in my opinion ;)
