Money is definately important to sustain life and living in today 's society. Without money you wouldnt have shelter, clothes, food. All that other jazz is just to make things more pleasant. IMO i hate money BECAUSE people NEED it to survive and have 'pleasure' with stuff we dont necessarily need and because of that some people go overboard and obsessed with money. (why go crazy over a mere object that only brings a temporary pleasure to yourself?) But because we do need it in this society today to live and be sucessful, i like the USE of it but its existence i will always hate. (If people could live wonderfully back in the past w/o money because they could cooperate with others, then why cant we?)

As long as i have enough to live off of and have just a few basic luxurys cable, internet, bullets (i like to target shoot :D) i'm good.
The things i like to have in life dont cost too much either. I like to have a small but spacious place. The only kinds of cars i've ever really wanted never costed more then 35k.
My happiness lays in being able to be productive, not rich. So all in all if i have a half decent job and a reliable car and stuff to do in my spare time money really doesnt have and effect on my life.

I'm sure there are a lot of people who believe that money = happiness. Some people take pride in their possessions like they are trophies, accomplishments, a reflection of their lifestyle and success.
I dont own much, the things I have reflect who i am and what I am interested in. But I understand the importance of money and wealth. If you want to one day support a family you need an income, you should get a home and be able to live comfortably.
Money is a means to obtain this, what is important is the way in which you earn your money.
You want to be a telemarketer? If thats what going to make you happy then go for it.
You have to be happy earning your crust.

Money buys happiness no matter what anyone says..
Cool things makes me happy
Money buys cool things
I'm happy
Everyone is different and require different things to survive/be happy .. I could live with millions of dollars or thousands of dollars. Don't think I'd do well with no money.

I think it's an "as much... so much" kind of thing, having too much money and not sharing the wealth is detrimental to the better of society, while not having enough if obviously not good for society either. There is a line where luxury and necessity meet, and I believe that is where most people should try to keep their givings/receive-ings at.

Its not that important to me but without it you cant eat, drink, buy clothes and stuff necessary for your life
Money IS an important thing in modern life.
And the happiness theme, well it really depends, the people can find happiness in almost everything, not just family, love, friends, the classic "non-buyable" concepts, and money can buy those things, some people feel happy just having stuff in his possesion and that is a form of happiness.
In my case I can be happy with money, not as happy as if I'm in couple or with friends, but certainly can be very enlightening.
Cheers...

Money is a good motivation for many people. What’s important about money to you? The answer should be an emotion that is your inner driving force. About money core value:
1.Security/Peace of mind
This is the single most common emotion people look for from their money, especially for women. If you are looking for security, you will want a comfortable nest egg and relatively safe investments. You may spend money on your family or home, which are most important to you, but otherwise prefer to save money to have a larger nest egg.
2.Freedom
Real freedom is financial freedom. There are so many things that you can do if you have money that are just not an option otherwise. Many people really want their money to give them freedom. Freedom from a routine life that can be suffocating. Freedom to do whatever is important to you and gives your life meaning.
3.Self-confidence
There is a quiet, inner confidence that comes from having money. If you look for inner self-confidence from your money, you may indirectly link your personal value to your net worth. Many millionaires (“Millionaire Next Door” book types) gain their self-confidence from having money, not spending money.
4.Respect
Respect is similar to self-confidence, except that it is more about others admiring you and appearing confident, rather than having an inner self-confidence. You like to own things that are good quality and have quality brand names. You may be a spender and have debt problems, never accumulating much wealth. You may be more interested in looking like you have money, than actually having it, but you need to have a reasonable nest egg to avoid ever losing face.
5.Independence
Money can mean you know you will never be a burden to your loved ones. Being financially dependent on someone else often comes with strings. Independence requires a reliable income and a solid nest egg. You may want to do everything yourself, whether you are good at it or not. If you know your weaknesses, you may well look for professionals you can trust in these areas to ensure your independence.

Money is very important to me!
i need money in all the time. For me, money can buy anything. Even it cannot be use to instead relative or friendship, but no money, no life.
I cant really imagine how is my life will going on without any money. There are how many people are in starving because of no money to buy food. In short, to live for life, I need money. >.<

Its imortant enough for me to want a lot of it, truth is even if we all think it isnt important or its partly important, it wont matter, no one will be able to live in comfort or happy if they dont have money, it wont matter if its 10 dollars or one million, we need it.
Money is very important. However I only need enough to live my dreams ^_^
But if I win the Lotto though I wont mind :)
