The best lie is when you lie to avoid that someone suffering...

There is no such thing as a good lie, only a good liar. personally i really think that honesty is the best policy, if you lie to protect something or for whatever reason, then you'll make the situation much worse than it already is.

A good lie is a lie that must be told because saying the truth is more harmful, to yourself or others, than lieing.

Omg people who believe no one should ever lie, not even if it's beneficial for the other person are living in a make believe land with little fairies and sparkling rays of sunshine! Get in the real world.

Example: your friends just had a baby, they ask you "isn't she gorgeous"? But you don't agree...what do you say...

If you say yes, are you going to wake up screaming and sweating in the night, because you weren't truthful?

If you say no then you are being selfish because you would rather hurt your friends so you can hold on to your precious morals and righteousness!

Lying is a part of everyone's life.U do it everyday be it to make friends,pacify your wife ,to get a job done,etc.Whoever who says that he never lie is a liar himself.Good lie is a lie that is never found out,one that covers the truth forever.

Even though a lie can save you at times or save someone else. The truth can save you even more :)

Well, i believe that sometimes a lie can help keep someone from getting their feelings hurt. Though the truth most of the time is preferable, in some situations it would be better to tell a white lie in order to keep peace.

The best lie would be one with a partial truth in it so that its believable. lie when it saves you or someone close

A lie is a lie period. Giving a reason is just a excuse to make you feel better that you told a lie. Even little white lies which are typically portrayed as good lies are still lies in the end. Lying is human nature you are going to do it. There are some lies you can say with very few bad consequences maybe even none. It's not being selfish to be honest though. This is why people often see people who are blunt in a negative way. If you are honest with someone even if it may seem mean or hurt them usually it can only help make the person stronger. Versus if you tell a little white lie to avoid hurting feelings you are just babying them. And are ultimately going to make them get hurt when the truth comes out by some other way and probably not as nice. Though I am not saying don't lie at all there are going to be situations which you are going to lie. You are going to lie and never think about it again. Your human, I am not going to scold you. I am just saying there is no good lie. Because a lie is a lie. Though I do not believe that you can say that lying can be okay if it is protecting someone. If there was a "good lie" I would say it would have to be a lie with a little truth in it pretty much is as close as you can get.

I dont think there is such called as a 'good lie' lols. it sounds ironic to me. xD. But to be exact, some lies do help and that's what they call as 'white lies'. These kinds of lies is done to help another person or preserve a relationship. For example, two friends of mine are not in good terms and to make it fair, i listen to both sides and when friend1 told me bad things about friend2, i'll just keep in to myself even if friend2 ask me to tell what are those and i'll just say, "she didn't say such things to me." that's a lie right? but i did it coz i dont want the quarrel to be bigger. It is like that in life, nobody have told truths all of his life or else he could hurt also others' feelings even though lying is bad or not good at all, it do help sometimes.

I think the only way a lie could be considered "good" is when it's used to protect someone. True, fiction and movies taught us it never ends well, but it really depends on the situation.

All lies are lies, no matter good or bad. You lie to your mother, lie to your friends, what lie can be good? Well... i think, that everyone should say the truth. But, we all are humans, cowardly people, we usually think bout our own well being, so, people usually lie, to be sure, that everything is ok, and the're no worry, but each lie leads another lie, and when all lies combine, we can lose everything important to us, such things as priendship, love or family..

I for one have been told that I am too honest and honestly I am better off lying at times.

Sometimes lies are neccesary... i avoid it.. but when i have to, i'm very good! muahaha
