What's your take on killing animals?
"killing animals" is too general
...animals kill other animals all time (including of course, humans killing humans)
The morality of the issue depends of HOW and WHY animals are killed. I believe living creatures (at least animals, who have conscience and feelings) have the right to die without pain, or at least with the most possible dignity. Killing is a harsh, violent and an irreversible action, and any living being that dies deserves, at least, to die for a good reason (to feed other animal, survival, or self defense). I consider that killing animals (or force them to kill each other) for entertaining or profit is disgusting, immoral and totally despicable.

Wait, is this about killing animals to eat or just killing them for the heck of it?
There are ways to kill animals, like a nice clean headshot, that are more humane ways of hunting. There is no need to torture an animal, especially just to do it to do it and get kicks from watching it die, that's just sick.
I also don't agree with how the food industry handles mass production, but as long as we continue to eat their meat they will follow these methods.
I don't think it's immoral to consume animals, as I believe in what the Bible teaches and it does not condemn eating meat. But that's my opinion, and I frankly don't care if anyone doesn't agree. As even stated in the bible itself there is really nothing religious, atleast in Christianity, about food. It's not good or bad, it's just food, meat or veggies. Eat to live not live to eat. Or live to have your eating habits make a statement about you and get recognized for it, that's kind of silly too.

The question it self is too general, but for reason such as food, material amongst others, I find it acceptable to kill other animals.
Its natural.
Predators hunt their prey, and we human do the exact same thing.

It depends on why you kill it. If animal killing was for a sport then that should definitely be frowned upon but on the other hand, if they were killed to provide food for us-humans then there should be nothing wrong with that. If they lie at the bottom of the food chain, then it's their job to be eaten sooner or later.
Well let me put it this way...
most people do not mind that we're killing chicken, pigs, cows, bulls or fish for food,... but when people kill dogs, cats and whales, that is something unusual to us and more enraging than anything else.

I...
...eat them dead most of the times... As many of you also do.
But I'm against the cruelty in killing animals... but we humans are cruel and we are always fighting and killing each other in some place of the world.
I like fast killings, supposed to be more merciful and painless...

I'm absolutely against cruelty ( too animals, humans or anything else in this damn world). Killing animals for food is simply necessary for us to survive, but killing for sport, pleasure or 'just 'coz you had nothing to do' is just sick and wrong. But also people tend to kill a lot more than they consume or need for survival, and i don't think that will change anytime soon (unfortunately).

Well as long as you use the entire animal (or close to it) like the Indians do. They eat them, make weapons out of them and give them prayer to the next life. I eat hamburgers and I eat steak. As much as I don't like to have an animal killed, just like a lion will hunt the others for their family, it's a necessity... to eat protein. I know there are substitutes out there, I'm honestly not a picky eater either but I just don't think that pills or soya, beans or tofu will do the job.
I guess I'm more concerned for the respect for the animals. We don't allow cruelty on animals nor are we pro for puppy mills but people who will kill animals just for the sport or as a trophy or even just to be cruel... well then that's something.
I don't know.. Think of insects and mice that are breed for science! Their fate is cruel but it's for a good cause.

Definitely no! Killing animals is cruel. Just because they're not top of the food chain, doesnt mean we should kill them.
I think if its just for food, that's okay...but killing them "just because" or if you're "just bored" is wrong. Even worse, killing them because "they're scary" or just for their fur or tusks. That's like killing people so you can harvest their organs!
In other worse, anything unnatural is wrong. We should be thankful they exist. Just think of a world if those animals didnt exist...

I suppose it depends on what it's for. If it's for eating sure. If it's to be a jerk and torture the poor little things then no it's defiantly not okay to kill animals. Also it depends on the type of animal, I don't believe endangered species should be killed either.

I agree that the people who likes to hurt animal are scum, the lowest or at least some of the worst in this world. We humans are also animals, the only difference is the superior intelligence that we have (or at least some people).
If someone needs to hurt another living beign, really have some serious problems within him/her. Really, I would like to see the at the other side of the fork, for example, those loosers who likes to hunt seals. The´re in danger but these people don´t care, maybe because it´s the "season".

I believe that animals should be humanely killed. I don't want my hamburger to come back to hunt me later with toilet troubles.

I think that killing animals is so wrong. It's cruel, barbaric, and least of all, inhumane.
On one hand, I vehemently disapprove of animal cruelty, and it makes me sick to see people abusing their cats, dogs, etc. On the other, I eat chicken and wear leather. I don't need to eat chicken; I can take vitamin supplements that will give me the same nutrition found in meat. I don't need to wear leather; I can wear faux-leather that looks the same.
Even though I don't personally hurt animals, I'm supporting those who do. I've heard a lot of the animals in slaughterhouses (pleasant word, right?) are gravely mistreated before their deaths, but I don't know how true all those claims are (most of which I've heard from my vegan friends who find even wearing feathers to be offensive).
I dunno, this is a tricky issue. I guess I agree with most people that killing chickens humanely and taking milk from cows humanely is okay, but defining 'humanely' is where it gets tricky. A vegan friend of mine won't eat certain kinds of cereals and stuff because they contain a certain food dye that is partially harassed from pig fat (or so I heard) and that kind of stuff just starts getting overly complicated to me, but having morals is never easy, I suppose.
I guess I'll enjoy (and I use that word ironically) my overwhelming hypocrisy on this issue for now.

Killing for food is just nature and is perfectly ok. Cruelty, abuse and killing for no necessary reason is wrong to me. People looking down on animals and saying "its ok because they're just an animal, they don't have feelings" makes me angry.
