"No Anime" my god! that would be a disaster for us otaku. it would be super sad, anime served as an entertainment and inspiration for others. if there's no anime the world would be so quite.

My life would seriously suck if there was no anime. I would have gone irreversibly crazy by now, and be locked in some mental ward. Or at least I think that's what would happen.
By the looks of how you put this, watching anime EVERY time you got nothing better to do is called an addiction, an anime addiction.
In most cases people who get to do that dont actually watch anime on their free time but they try to make their free time longer in order to watch anime. It is just the way every single addiction works, you try to fool yourself that you are not addicted by making your mind think that you only do it in your free time, which you you are trying to get more and more in the first place.
To the point, if anime stoped existing people would find other things to spend their free time on, yes some would go crazy, others would even kill themselves, but the majority of poeple who take their hobbies in moderation would just go find another hobby.
In the case that anime never existed things are really simple, "If no one knows it existed, no one will miss it..."

Its not about being serious, its all about staying in reality. If anime did NOT exist you wouldn't miss it so the only thing that could possibly "happen" to the world would be it ending up having less "Otakus" and less Hentai...

Yeah, I'll go with AssassinXXX's post on the first page. If it never existed, we'd never realize it was missing.
And on the other hand, it's difficult to trace how things would be different. In some ways, some people would be more social because there's less to keep them holed up in their house/apartment/room. In other wise, people would be more reclusive because they don't have what let them interface with other people. And who knows how many people wouldn't even exist because anime is what allowed some couples to form. There's just too many things that might or might not change to wrap the mind around.

If there was no anime in this world, I'd probably spend a whole lot more time watching Tokusatsu (mainly Kamen Rider, considering I haven't even gotten around to watching all the Hesei series yet) and playing video games. Still, I probably would be able to manage, and would probably derive my anime-like entertainment from manga, of which I don't read a whole lot of...because of anime. XD

Before going all out on the guy who tells you that anime isn't and shouldn't be your life just think for a moment. What does anime give you exept some temporary satisfaction? Maybe there are SOME animes out there that do teach you pretty great stuff but saying that anime is vital in your life and that you cant imagine a world without them. What i see, when i imagine a world without anime, is an all in all better world.
My advice is to get your facts straight and realise that life is not just anime and video games. Social life is the real challenge and getting your thoughts to other people's heads is a quest of life. You never get perfect but never stop trying also. The more you "train" the better you get.
I don't say you should STOP watching anime or playing video games. As i said before, everything should be taken in moderation, even fun.
