Air Gear was one of those animes that just got me 'hooked' you could say. It was good in almost every aspect in my opinion and I'm surprised it doesn't have better ratings on AnimenewsNetwork. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=6251

I loved the characters, they were all really good. The only problem I have is that Ikki is sometimes just over confident and kind of unlikable but thats his character I guess.

Simca and Ringo were the main female roles and I found them both to have good traits ^_^ although the sudden change in Simca was kind of shocking.

The storyline is really good and the anime does a great job in keeping every episode fresh and exciting. The themes of the anime are great also. I'm a guy who really likes the blue sky and the clouds so maybe that is one of the factors that got me hooked on this anime.

The anime leaves a huge cliffhanger and hopefully there will be a movie (on the Japanese site they have greyed out movie icon) and then a second season and hopefully more of the story in the manga will be shown.

what do you guys think of air gear? Not too many animes get me saying 'wow' after the first few episodes and continued throughout the entire way...

ahh I should be studying right now but i thought i just needed to get it out of my head so i can get the bio/chem stuff into my head. xD there, thats my little rant, I finished the last episode just now. xD

I hope they make a sequel. It was a great anime series but it left to many thing unanswered. like who are all the other kings. The storyline itself is quick and entertaining. The characters are also great. Guess we will have to wait for a sequel since the manga is still being written.

Great great anime, but it didn't leave me "speechless". Kare Kano made me speechless cause I couldn't believe they game no ending to the series. Kino's Journey left me speechless and crying at it's amazing glory, but not Air Gear. Not to take anything away from it though, it was an amazing anime.

The Anime actually seems incomplete. The last episode left too many holes IMHO. I don't know if they did an OVA after that, but where is the fighting with Memento Mory?, and what about the relics etc...

Even though I haven't seen Air Gear, we've all experienced that moment after watching the last episode of an anime where we go OMG THAT WAS GREAT. Kanon and Air are my examples

I'm only on the 3rd episode but I think I will like it... the plot looks kind of dumb but I've been through lots of dumb plots so I think I can manage. There's some decent fan service too lol.
The music is really promising though and I will take a listen to the OSTs after seeing the series. Review later..

Air Gear is a pretty nice anime.

Despite that the plot line is left kind of unfinished in the anime (I think the manga is on-going though), its trill, music and comedy are terrific.

I just ran across this show on Insight On-demand free stuff but It's awesome, Adult Swim should pick this show up to replace the family guy re-runs and all the other re-runs

I loved Air Gear, the anime seemed fresh to me and is up on my top 3 list next to Black Lagoon and Ouran High School Host Club. If you liked the anime I suggest you pick up the manga and read it from the start since the anime tends to leave out bits and pieces. They ended this anime prematurely in my opinion, and a second series would really do it justice.

Air gear is like hecka good, 1 of my top favs if only they had a 2nd season, that'd be great

Well I think the chances for a secons season are slim. I like the feeling the show gave off too. Though if you want some more, like i did, I suggest reading the manga. The anime finished feeling incomplete, well simply because it was. Read the manga to continue on from where the anime left off!

but somehow it's ending really disappointing

True ..the anime cuts off before the real fun begins..anyway personally i find the manga lots more exciting and amusing. For some reason the magnificence of OhGreat!'s artwork hasn't been transferred very well in the screen (same counts for Ogura's other manga series which turned into anime; Tenjo tenge) and that has put me off in general.

but yeah, Air Gear has a great storyline and for anyone thats interested in finding what happens after Ikki ' the crow' jumps the Devil 33 and breaks Sora's record, then why not read the manga ?
