This is my first wallpaper, its from the Bleach manga, chapter 70. I hate wallpapers that have to much detail, but this seems a bit to bald, i kind of like it but it has to have the appeal of others. got any suggestions?

Can you pleace tell us what you have made with this wall, i can't really see anything more than a scan from the manga been added on a black bg! i know you like simple wallpapers, but this will not work at all, you need to make a bg, why can't you make a vector bg!
and if you whant not to colour the scan, make a bg that fit your scan...
when you make a wallpaper you need to add your signature too, you havn't done that here so try and add it in the new update..

Well, I am a huge n00b, but this is what I did.
The scan had writing on it, I took it out.
The scan was very dirty, I cleaned it up a bit (still wanted a bit of grunge).
I took out some of the rope thingies she is holding to make her look more centered.
I was thinking of keeping it un-vectorized(once again i am a n00b), keep the manga feel.
But I see your point, this really is way to blank, thank you so much, I will try my best with my limited abilities.
Besides ALL that, am i barking up the wrong tree?

I think you should add a text to fill the space on the bottom left.
And vectoring the scan would be great!If you vector it you could simplify it (the chara : hairs and expression) and make a wall much more attractive !
To give you an exemple of what I mean I saw a wall which got a similar effect but in white, look : here
