Stated to do a vectored background and then added a scan of Edward to it. I think that somethings missing though it just seems a little off, any suggestions would be nice.

The background is kinda flat and blocky looking. It wouldn't be as noticible if the scan took up more of the foreground. Ed seems to be there as an afterthought. Some more color would definitely make this a lot more interesting.
I decided not do increase the size of the edward scan but add another of him at an older age on the left, and I replaced the blockes with a shadow of alphonse/edward. Does it look better? I know it still need some work on the bg but I could use some more feedback before I continue.

Hhhmmm..not bad at all...
I think you just need add a little more detail on the background...something that will matches thescan...maybe adding some techno brush may do a good thing..well..good luck on that wall!

I like this wall It looks nice! You really improved your wall from the first to the second ;P
I love that idea to put Al on the background!it looks better than the squares on my mind ^^
Anyway I don't like to see twice the chara on the same wall, I think it would be better if you use the secon scan too make the background of the banner… but it might be only my mind!^^
And there are still too much blank spaces on the background maybe you should fill or add texture to theses spaces. ;)

I think you should actually take the real logo, vector it and then put it on the front but thats up to you. The wind filter on Ed looks a bit rushed, i think you shoudl tryy making a better blur effect and a bit more detail with the tech background shoudl make it good.
I would love to add some tech texture to the background but I havn't any good brushes or textures to use, does anyone have any good ones or a link to where there are some? I know I could try to creat one myself but I don't know how well that will go ^_^

Sorry to post again but I wanted to get my latest version of my wallpaper commented on and have you tell me if it is submission worthy. I cleaned up a few things and add stripes to the background to keep it simple and neat.

I think if you vector the characters and spice up the colors, it would work better. don't be afraid to like, make someone's hair pink...lol, yeah, don't go crazy, i know you are going for a serious mood, but a nice color scheme would make it pop more.
maybe also add some abstract shapes around the logo thing? right now it seems slapped on.

Love the birds! the al or whoever it is in the bottom, actually he looks pretty good. style wise, the characters don't mix with the vector bg, though...

The second one looks better to me, However, I like the textured metal behind Al in the first one. The pic of Ed on the left is bothersome. Try putting Al on the left instead. Then in the bottom right put a shadow pic of Ed.
