First wallpaper to AP

I would just like to say hi to everyone here, and I have just joined, and I'm eager to start jumping on the bandwagon to wallpaper greatness~ *coughs* Anyway, the wallpaper I'm about to show you all was originally two wallpapers but now they're merged together. And with that, the wallpaper was originally used as a layout for my personal site, but I decided that it'd look pretty okay (I think) as a desktop wallpaper as well.
Anyway, I'm not sure what else I should be saying in this description, but I'll be happy to accept all comments and criticisms from everybody. Thank you for taking your time on this wallpaper. ^^
Note: I thought the original version that I made a long time ago was a tad bit too blurry for my tastes, so I slightly sharpened it. Just in case, I decided to put both versions for you to compare.
Original version.
Sharpened version.
Edit: The text was fixed and I adjusted the overall brightness of the wallpaper, but I'm afraid I can't do anything about the white areas around the picture quite yet, since I'm on another computer that doesn't have the wallpaper's PSD file. ._. Edited

The extraction of the character at the bottom right needs some attention... particularly around his hair.
I like how you blend your background!nice choice of colours (from red to blue)
Anyway I agree with hatesyou : you need to clean up the edges of scans !
And I think you should more focus on the charas

In the original picture, there is tooo much brightness. In the sharpened picture, it is better than the first one but there is still much brightness. It kinda stings the eyes. You should do something about the bright ness.
:O Wow, I really do like this wallpaper. Hah, you're right, I know very little (okay, none ._.) about this anime but after seeing this wallpaper, I feel quite interested... Gintama, is it? :)
Okok, about the wallpaper. Like others have already stated, The red to the blue is blended nicely (my favourite part out of this wallpaper actually. :P) And after looking through both walls, I felt that the sharpened version really... stood out to me. I like that more than the original. It has that "intense" sort of feel with the edges all "alert". :)
Oh! And I was amused with the first upside down "rehtegot gnid..." (hurhur :P) and the way the second one at the bottom just finished off nicely.
Okay, so it's all comments right now 'cause I really enjoyed looking at this wallpaper but if I were to give the little constructive criticism, it'd be the hair. :P (Oh, and about the brightness in fama-chan's post, I personally don't mind. But we all have varied tastes. :P)
On a final (and random, really) note, I was tempted to look at your site after seeing the wallpaper this pretty and I love the current layout (even though, again, I'm unfamiliar with the anime/manga the layout features). I'm a die-hard fan for livejournal-like anything. :D And that layout was simply.. wows. :)
Back to the wallpaper, hope to see it posted up on this site soon!

Uhh i think its pretty kool
WOW. great stuff...wooow that looks awesome. As people before me have mentioned, the transition from red to blue is very nice, I couldn't for the life of me figure out what the text was though. Something Together...is all I could make out. Maybe bringing that out a bit more? And yesh sharpened version =
3. =P haha the almost transparent grid is a VERY nice effect...it works really well in this wallpaper...it looks really good!! congrats!

Thanks everyone for your helpful comments. I suppose it might be a bit too bright, so I'll adjust that. As for the extraction, you could say that it was my first time doing an extraction ever with Polygonal Lasso Tool, since before I'd just erase the picture out manually (haha, yeah... that was VERY tedious @~1@;...)
Ah crap, I meant for it to say "fading together", but I guess I totally blended that out. ><; Didn't notice that...
But anyway, thanks again for your input, everyone!

It's good! The characters needs some working though. Like better extraction. Regarding extraction, you can try the Extract filter before erasing everything by hand. One prob is that the wall disperses attention. Try to do something to focus attention on one part of the wall. Overall, I think it's cool! :)
