I'll be watching this show when I have time. It's funny how I was able to get all the fansubs eps, only to have no time to watch, mostly due to work.

So, who heard what 2channel had to say about the movie? Apparently it just focuses on Yoko.

...Then again, who knows how much of what 2channel had to say was true.

It was my understanding that the movies were divided between the sections of the story, though that may be incorrect. I have to admit, the second half of the story would make a fantastic movie.

I just saw that they used gurren lagaan for the poster for New York Anime Fest

@~Dreamie: Yeah the whole movie is based off the first 15 episodes of the show and supposedly ends at the battle at Teppelin. I've heard from anons on pretty much every board imaginable that its basically Simon and Nia's story told by Yoko. Everyone else gets excluded majorly. Its basically TENGEN TOPPA GURREN LAGANN: Death & Rebirth, LITE. Because even Death & Rebirth had almost all of Eva's content, if I remember correctly (Been years since I've seen both of the Eva movies.) As for the 2nd movie, there hasn't been much news on it, other than its confirmation, that I've read at least. There's probably someone out there that has a ton more information, but until I see it, I won't be able to post it. Seems like they just made it for teasing purposes.

@Katsoup: It seems like all the really large conventions had a lot of stuff for TTGL this year. I went to AX and it was the largest thing there. Even Shokotan was there, performing (But I didn't get to see her.) The series has gotten really big everywhere it seems, but it seems more like GAiNAX plans on milking this one for its money, seeing there's a ton of stuff out for it, and so much you can do with the series (Like the Parallel Works Videos). Odds are after the last movie is released and the newest manga finishes up, they'll cool down with it and move on with their newest series. I like the series and all, but they shouldn't need to add a bunch of stuff that waters it down. It'll become over popularized like so many other shows do if they do that, and I think I speak for most of us when I say that's a big "DO NOT WANT."

The Parallel works are 10xs better than the fan made AMVS.

I finished this anime recently. I was dispointed by the second half but it's really a good anime.

Disappointed by the ending? Yeah, it was kind of sad, but go figure. Its a GAiNAX work, so of course a bunch of depressing stuff happens in the end.

I heard about this anime from people, Sci-Fi is showing it on Mondays.
