This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Misunderstanding is the root of prejudice.. more like make him do walls and see if he can even have one accepted here..

Most pointless argument. My coworker thinks that these walls and VECTORING is just easy and takes no talent... -_-

Well the first release date for the Gurren Lagann DVDs here in North America has been dated for February 26th 2008 via ADV with a $29.98 msrp.

I'm excited about it coming out and will buy it, but I still think anime DVDs are sooo over priced. It probably won't have more than 4 to 5 episodes where other tv series will give you a full season for that price. It's like the idustry said "Lagging dvd sales? people stealing it off the internet? LETS JACK UP THE PRICE! Not only that, but lets spread a 20 something episode series over six dvds! That'll fix everything"

Oh well, it's Gurren Lagann though, so it deserves the money I guess.

I'll wait for the thinpak if I buy it at all. After episode 8 it became epic fail, don't know if I'd want to buy a 27 episode series for 8 episodes..

I might, MIGHT actually buy some Gurren Lagann DVDs if the dub turns out to be good. An anime like this really deserves better sales, and I'm willing to support GAINAXXXX!

This is just great news. This will be a must buy come February. Even though Gurren Lagann just came out this year it is already one of my top 5 favorite anime of all time. Even after episode 8 its still epic, episode 15 anyone? I hope it comes with some sweet extras, maybe a figure like with death note.

EIGHT IS ONE OF ANIME'S MOST EPIC FAIL MOMENTS. So bad, it made me capslock.

But, if I'm rolling in the dough again, and they announce a worthwhile cast *COUGHNOTWENDEELEEASANYTHINGCOUGH* [so tired of hearing her in EVERY show I watch in English anymore], then just for Kamina-sama, I will buy.

I'll definately get it.

While I do agree about ep 8, the rest of the series isn't all that bad at all. It's still great, except when it hits the END end with
SPOILER (click to view)

I'll most likely wait though for when all the DVDs are released because there will probably be some sort of boxed set.

We can all relate. For people who watch movies, buying DVDs is not a big deal but for the anime fans, the whole thing is just one big hole in your pocket.
Then again, TTGL is a ridiculously awesome anime and I think most people will shell out the Bens despite the price. The whole affair is never equal for the anime consumer...but we all watch torrents so...LOL.

Hopefully, Blu-Ray players will get cheaper...they have the potential to bring anime at a whole new level of accessbility...next-gen please come!
I mean, you could stick a whole stinking box set on one CD and then some! It would be so awesome to buy whole series and their relevant OSTs all on one CD!

I can dream. (Dream with me)
