Gurren Lagann English Dub
Argg! I've fallen out with the dub. Several weeks behind, there's no point watching it on TV anymore. Does anyone know where I can catch up with the dub?
I have just listened the english and spanish dubbed versions, they are ok... but they jap ver is thes best, it gives the voices a little more feeling ... lol that s my opinion

I gave the English dub a shot, but I agree with paintingrain. Kamina's voice wasn't right.
I thought the dub was certainly better than some others I've been unfortunate to watch, but I agree that Kamina's voice especially just wasn't right. I wasn't very fond of Leeron's either.

Gurren Lagann's dub was way better than a lot of other dubs that I've seen. I don't mind Yuri/Simon's voice. I guess that's because I'm somewhat of a fan of his. But I really didn't like Kamina's voice. It didn't have the right tone to it. I guess it wasn't as manly as his original voice.
Nia's voice was too high pitched, but it was bearable in the end. I really did love Yoko's and Virals VA's! I'm a pretty big fan of Yoko's VA- Michelle Ruff- who also voice Rukia from BLEACH and Rita from Tales of Vesperia (along with a but load of other characters).

After finishing the dub, I take back what I'd previously said - I turned out loving Simon's voice, especially as an adult. Kamina's was ok. Nia's fit as well as any English translation could fit. Honestly in general there's rarely a typical mystically confused girl character like that which CAN be portrayed in English very well. That's what it seems like to me anyway.

I liked the dubbing alright ive heard much worse that's for sure
A week after I finished watching the series was changing the channels and was really suprised to see it on Sci-fi, but they left out some words and stuff like that , and didnt like it as much as the Sub.
Hnnn, I only watched one episode, so I can't really give a fair judgment. Oh, and the one episode I saw was also my least favorite, so I'd probably be biased anyway. But I was glad that Kamina, as well as not looking like a sixteen year-old, also didn't sound like a sixteen year-old. XD
I already knew that any way they tried to translate the "aniki" would come out sounding strange, so I didn't worry about that.

I dont really like the English Dub of the anime , kaminas and simons voice sucks...Yokos voice is cute 
I think the JapDub / Eng Sub is better than the English Dub

I find that dubs tend to be hit or miss. I preferred the Cowboy Bebop and Big O english dubs over the originals, but the original version of others such as TTGL/RRK/FMA were better than the dubs.
Think I'll pass on dubs, they're usually quite bad. Don't think the speeches later on will sound as badass in english aswell.
