First Drawings
1 Page: [ 1 ]
I learned to draw from howtodrawmanga and this is what i got.Not that satisfied but want fedbacks.I use my friend's scanner since mine is broken.=_=
Hatsumi from Hot Gimmick.I followed from the manga but i made her hand hidden since It's kinda hard and the pic in the manga is cut so I have to draw the body.
A girl holding a rose? I took the risk by drawing the hand but I had to do it or else I'm a coward.Actually,I scanned this in a hurry since my friend's sis wanna use the comp and I accidentally cut a few part above the crown but it isn't important.
My first sketch actually. This isn't really good as I drew at 2am in the morning.grr.It features someone who just back from a store and saw a butterfly.I toyed around with the background so it isn't that good.
I wanna laugh looking at them...amateur's workpieces

Those drawings are cute^-^
Well at least your starting. If you have the drive to continue practicing you'll get far. I hope you have that because I love seing artistic skill develop... It is an art in itself.
If they are really your first, you say - amateur drawings - I can't say they're bad! Don't be so though to yourself!
You must just learn the proportions of manga character and observe your surrounding closely. For example: draw your hand by watching at it. It's the first step that you must take.
I can add here some tutorials to help if you want.
I've been drawing since 2004y with about 8-months break. Mine works were hundred times worse at the beginning. I don't have any "How to draw manga" books, but I know some nice tutorials from Deviantart. I'm not a prof, but I'm happy from what can I draw now.
For example - Hollow from "Bleach" after the information that my friend gave me about "it". I didn't watch the anime or read manga. My scanner ate original colors xD

Cute pictures. XD However, you should pay a little more attention to proportion. That's the one thing that you have to be good at in order to draw well. I'm not great myself, but I definitely know it helps.
They're great! You're a lot better than me when i first started drawing anime. Keep up the Good work! I know that you'll get better at it.
This is your first time drawing so don’t be so hard on your self you need to practice over and over again to get characters just rite. So don’t put your self down. Even if you have a How to Draw Manga book that is not going to make you a Van Gogh in one night. So just make more drawings, the more you make the better you will become. And there not that bad for a first time.
No I don't have the book..lol..T_________T
It's a free online tutorial..
if I have the book, maybe it'll teach me further..
the free one is kinda limited but anyway practice makes perfect..

How To Draw Manga books are alright, but I would suggest learning how to draw the basic anatomy, (ball and stick, then fill in with boxes, to muscles) before you jump into that. Usually those books cut out a lot of how your suppost to draw a human figure. Once you get some of the anatomy down, drawing anime/manga becomes a lot easier.
No it's not a book T-T
online tutorial..so the free one is limited..
they also sell the books which include figure drawings and such but I don't wanna buy it

Hehe, cute. Yea it's easy to tell you're starting out, your art has the usual form issues and whatnot of an early artist, but really that just improves with time if you practice hard and don't give up. As long as you enjoy drawing, the rest will all come together in time. Good effort, I hope to see some more. :)
OK sorry, Strike what I said.

I saw the (How to Draw) and jump the gun just because that is the name of anime and manga drawing books.
So every one stop, it an on line site with the information.

You are going to the top but give it a little more effort
and DONT draw at 2am
and DONT draw at 2am
Long post since forever again, but here are my comments. Yeah, there's plenty of books with the title "How to Draw Manga". I tend to be a very harsh critic, but for now, i'll say that you've probably started off on a good foot compared to what i did when i started.
Based on the few suggestions, yes, i find it actually important to examine your own body and sometimes use it as a reference into what you want to get. Its usually what i do, from as simple as the outline look or the perspective and angle sort of thing :)
Personal preference for me as well, but i find that sausage drawings don't help me one bit. I tend to do rectangles, as they give me more depth in how everything is angled and such. Not sure how well it'll work for you though.
Another big tip? i think you'd want to refer to anime art for tips and stuff like that. I usually look back at anime fanbooks, art books and such and examining how little bits of detail change can alter the overall look of the image.
:) i've probably written quite abit, but yeah, if you were to post new pictures of your drawings on, i'd definitely take a look at them :D I emphasize less on praise but on constructive help though :P
