Macross Frontier
K, just recently celebrates the 25th anniversary of the original Super Dimension Fortress Macross TV series and made new series: Macross Frontier. They have shown Macross Frontier Deculture Edition or Macross Special Edition on Dec '07! April 3rd came the first episode! and few days ago they brought the 2nd episode~~~~!
Man, this series is so cool~~~! I can't wait for next episode! They're using pretty famous VAs for the main charas!!
Saotome Alto：Yuichi Nakamura (Clannad, Gundam 00, Okiku Furikabutte & more)

Max NEEDS to return. Maybe some Fire Bomber cameos here and there.
Oh, and in your seiyuu list, you forgot Ozma Lee's seiyuu, Katsuyuki Konishi. a.k.a. Volfogg and Kamina.
If its Shoji Kawamori, its a guaranteed success.

Skull Squadron is back, so I was happy too.
Only sad thing is they change the ED song to "Aimo" and "Diamond Crevasse" in the TV series stead of "愛・おぼえていますか" from original Macross.

Yeah, that was a shame. I rather liked the remix of Do You Remember Love? from the Deculture/Special version of the episode 1.
Tidbits in episode 2:
- Mikhail/Michel pilots a blue Valkyrie, the same style as Max's Valkyrie
- The Valkyrie which Alto pilots regrew arms after it was cut by the Vajra (The monster)
- In the original Macross, Roy gets Hikaru in the UN Spacy. In this one, the army tries to recruit Alto
- Gilliam's Valkyrie has the code 007, chances are, its a reference to Macross 7
- Ozma's Valkyrie's armor bears similarity to Hikaru's Armored Valkyrie
- OZMA PUNCH (Kamina punched Simon...)
- Trivial, but Ozma called for "Michel", but Alto CLEARLY calls him "Mikhail

Oh btw Mikhail in japanese ミハエル which in English is Michael. For good example name John in english is ヨハネ (yohane) or ジョン (john) whichever works. So it might be just mistake or Ozma said Mikhail fast that it sound like "michael/michel"

Wow you've got some really detailed observations there haha...having only watched Macross Zero other than this, I dont know too much about the Macross series :P. Is it just Zero and Frontier, or do they like to have characters that have the last name of "Nome"?
I don't know, but probably stems from the fact that Macross ALWAYS has something to do with music.

Yes, Macross: The Movie was awesome. Also Macross 7 is in top fav too. Also, I'll recommend watching Macross II. That was my second Macross series.

Macross II was a little lackluster to me. Actually, you could just jump from the first Macross to Macross Plus, and then to 7. That's really the current line.

VF-1S isn't bad. Not too fan of the colors. I like VF-19 and Basara's Color designs. Not sure about the cockpit, but outside design is 2 thumbs up! Frontier's VF-25 has cool transforming style than any VF, but I'm not sure what to think about the design.

There are few manga came out. Most of them were not to do with any macross series. I think, they even made gundam manga series by macross artiest.
Kinda true the macross manga is different from the tv series... but i hardly ever find gundam comics... been trying to find the seed and destiny series so hard to find...T.T

I use to own one of the original VF, but when I moved to US, I lost it. My plan is to get VF-19 or VF-22 (or maybe new VF-25)... But not sure still.
