This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

I really enjoyed Rozen Maiden. It's funny, but also quite deep as it is similar to the concept of the creator (god) because of the feeling of duty to play the Alice Game so that they can join "Father" even if it means that they have to do things that they do not want to do/think is not right ^^

But I dont live in USA, and I think it not great enough to buy it ^^

I didn't saw the anim but I've been lend the three first volumes (french edition, that's all we have so far). The first ones was like a little boring for me^^; but I found the third one pretty good, so if it's continue to improving like that, it may get really interesting, so I think it worst checking if you liked the anim. And the drawings are pretty good as well.
Sorry if I've made mistakes, my english is not that good^^;

The American version of the manga is printed right-to-left. I can't really tell you much about the translation, though since I do not know Japanese. I can tell you that they translated Suiseiseki's "desu" into "yes." Some of the other things she says seem to be the same way as I saw them in subs.

I say you should import a volume and see if you like it.

Yeah, I heard about the "Desu" to "Yes" situation, what kind of a catchphrase is "Yes". It's really to bad, because that aside I would have bought this, but with Sousei Seki saying "Yes" it's just not going to happen, TokyoPop fails hard on this one.

The English version is very good! ^_^ It keeps the Japanese honorifics and gives translations for Japanese references.

haha, that's funny!
anyways, I have 2 volumes, and I can say that it's a pretty good translation and whatnot. It doesn't seem too bad at all. So in other words, I say go for it. =]

I've watched the anime and have read the 3 vols available in the us right now, and i think its pretty good. There are a few things here and there in the manga that sorta get on my nerves ("desu" into "yes" and there was some french phrases thrown in there somewhat randomly) but its nothing to go crazy about. The drawings are what really attracted me to the manga. Its some pretty crazy stuff, so i'd say go for it and buy them, but thats just me.

on a side note, it totally threw me for a loop when i learned that Rozen Maiden was written by the same guy who did DearS. wtf?!?!

To me the anime has just been better than the manga... but i guess it all depends on the person XP
