Interesting way of reading my manga
Well i download my manga and i read it often and i always see cool pics while im reading it so i end up drawing while i read it to.
im not sure why... but it feels odd just no noise i need noise so i play fansubs in the background whilst i read it somehow gives more depth to it..lol?

When I read scanalations on the computer, I actually don't listen to anything in the background. While it would be nice to listen to music for example, anything with vocals (regardless of language) distracts me from reading, and to be perfectly honest, something instrumental might ruin the mood of the manga scene (ie nothing like reading fast paced Ippo boxing action and listening to something really mellow). And yes, while I can purposely chose to listen to certain music, I don't.

I tend to listen to music while reading my manga. I usually don't even realize I'm playing music while reading manga b/c I get so focused on the manga and zone out anything else. Yet for some reason I don't like reading my manga without music.
When I read manga that I've downloaded, I usually listen to music. Example, when I was reading Angel Sanctuary, I would listen to Rie Fu,...but now, whenever I listen to thoses songs, all I can think of is Angel Sanctuary! -.-;;; ^_^''

Eh i cant do that, if i were to hear anything in the background i would lose my focus and cant get back into it. Kinda sucks but it happens a lot since i share a room with my mom and my sister.

Wow man.. i can't read it like that...i guess our brain are just made on different level?hahha...but thanks for telling me of your ways in reading mangas...i think someday i'll create some way in reading mangas...
I do that occasionally, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

I usually have music in the background when I read manga but it has to fit the mood... if it's sad and I have some upbeat song than it kills it for me and so I change the song to fit with the chapter or scene

I've never tried it, but it sounds like it would work well for me. Maybe I should go do that now... I don't have any manga though DX

In my case no matter what noise there is I'm okay with it. Oddly I could really focus on what I'm reading and block out most sound when I want to. So with or without music is fine with me because most of the time in my head there would be sounds and background music for what I'm reading already. It's like I'm in my own world with the manga ^-^
Perhaps I should also try playing music in the background when I read manga? Hehe, especially the theme songs from anime, that sounds GREAT! ^_^
I lose concentration when I read manga and listen to music. I've done it a few times. Sometimes I don't realize the music on or it goes with the mood of the manga I've been reading. But most of the time I just I lose focus on what I am reading if I listen to music.
Reading manga on the internet is great, to an extent when it starts to hurts my eyes after a while. I remember I tried to print out one manga volume and it took a while to print and my printing teacher would of yelled at me if she caught me.
