Opeth & Novembre FTW, mate! They are Teh Ultimate Wnzor in almost each & every aspect of their music. I've seen Opeth twice (Blackwater Park & Deliverance tours) in Australia. I'm rooting to see Novembre as they don't go out of Europe as far as I know. But they've signed with a new and bigger label for their latest album so probably they'll get better promotion especially for SE Asia and Australia. We'll see.

For brutal deathmetal, currently I'm listening to Necrophagist and Origin. Their surgical precision and extreme skills are mind-blowing.

And for some reason I've been listening to Anathema's older stuff too lately. Hmmm...

Ah dammit, I can't forget to mention that Megadeth is my absolute favorite metal band. No matter how ego-maniacal and arrogant Mustaine is, Megadeth is absolute FTW for me. Especially Peace Sells, Rust In Peace, and Countdown.

Have you listened to Dan Swanö and Bloodbath? Dan was with Mikael Åkerfeldt (Opeth's vox) in Bloodbath. Bloodbath had Peter Tägtgren (Hypocrisy's vox) as vocalist after Mikael left. Dan's own album: Moontower, Bloodbath w/ Mikael: Resurrection Through Carnage, Bloodbath w/ Peter: Nightmares Made Flesh.

I also listen to a lot of bands...personally my preference goes to progressive bands but I really listen to everything with "metal" in the name, from heavy such as stratovarius to brutal death bands like necrophagist, cannibal corpse,...These days I really enjoy children of bodom and arch enemy, they both made two awesome DVDs I can't quit watching. Would be hard to say the name of all the bands I listen to without filling one or two post tho :p...

At least he's better than Lars Ulrich and James Hetfield. I didn't like those guys before, but after reading about the reasons for Mustaine being kicked, and watching Some kind of Monster, I have to say that I REALLY started to hate those guys. :)
I really like Megadeth too. I think that the songs Sweating Bullets and A tout Le Monde kicks ASS! I really like Crush 'em too, but you might hate me for that. :)

I love power metal, like Dragonforce and Falconer =^^=
But also a band like Lake Of Tears, (don't know the genre ^^'')
Eh, I don't listen very often to non-japanese musik, and I haven't heard much Japanese metal >___>

What other black metal you like? I listen to Nattefrost and Emperor, but they're not nearly as good as Immortal.
