I don't know...I thought the series went downhill when...
SPOILER ALERT:
you find out that they're just resetting and resetting life over and over again, because "their will is not strong enough" or something. Is this supposed to mean that Miyo's will is stronger than all of theirs combined and that they supposedly need divine intervention to change destiny? It gave me mixed feelings.

Very violent, I rated it 18+.
Higurashi is the best Horror Anime, I've ever seen!
It has really funny parts, too

The first episode look fun which is the oppitise of how it's going to be later on.
My favorite character is Hanyuu,Rena,Mion,and Keichi!!
Yeah it got gore and knives but it really funny when they laugh.

Watched the first season. It's scary! I couln't sleep in peace at first because on Shion. I don't watch the second season yet, that's a fackt :/.

I have watched the first two seasons ^^ and now I'm waiting for season 3, if and when it comes out!
The characterization is great and so is the music and most of all the emotion that are conveyed are raw and intense.

I liked the series. I happened to read a forum post somewhere that this was a horror anime and having never experienced one before, I was curious. The situations the characters were in and the actions that the they took really did give off the horror mood and wasn't just about bloody gore that some perceive as horror.
Eheh, Higurashi was a fun series. One I first watched it, it made me cry from the sadness...but it's kinda weird when I look back at that. Anyhow, the plot is really interesting and I really can't wait 'till the Rei OVA comes out~
^ Yup, definitely watch the second season. Everything will come together and answer questions you have.

I'm looking forward to reading the manga when it's released in book form. It's fun reading it in Yen Plus though.
I don't remember how I came across this anime but I'm pleased that I did. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the first and second season, though I was somewhat disappointed by how it ended in the second season. Nevertheless, definitely on my top ten list. I remember watching and thinking "OMG... this is unbelievable" a lot.

I really liked it, the way it kinda shocks you with the early episodes... then it kinda gets confusing before it all wraps together rather neatly, I liked the way it panned out. Been a while since I've seen it, but I think I liked Shion or Mion the best, can't remember which was the one that was kinda...
i love higurashi. < 3 it's one of my favorite anime, and it's one of the two i watch now. i can't wait for higurashi rei to come out !
