As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!

Ye mouton knows all ;) I am still a newbie with vectoring programs. In my journal is the progess so far for my Inkscape and AI project. The main difference I noticed so far is that in AI the pentool is editable at all times, in IS it is a different tool

Ctrl is useful when you want to control the angle of the vector. Shift is for asymmetric vector. You can combine the two also. One more thing, if you start an other path while pressing shift and that a former path is selected, the two will combined.

I only use ctrl for zooming, backspace I knew because it is the same in PS and AI. The shift and enter I didn't know, those are useful. I ended a path using right mouse on my last node

You have to finish the path to edit it with the node tool. You can finish a path by closing it up or by pressing enter. You can also go back in the path by pressing backspace. I also suggest you to try pressing shift and ctrl while using the Bezier tool^^

Q mouton; Can you edit nodes while in bezier tool? Because now I finish a path first and then use the edit tool to change it.

When i've seen the first episode of this show, i've believed that was a cute show, but not it was scary !! freaky!a great show.

I thought it was ok, but sometimes it looked really sick, and I found strange how they went from a cute funny scene to a really shocking one.

I liked the 2nd form last arc the best. The one where one of the twins snaps.

I heard somewhere, a 2nd season is on schedule, dunno if it was fake... I would be looking forward to it although.

Watched it and loved it ^^ It was just different than anything else I've seen, cute, and scary. There is a sequel to the series, which has come out recently, but haven't had the chance to catch up with it.

After a long drawn out battle between my urge and my wallet, I have decided to order the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni DVDs vol. 1 and 2.

I wonder what surprises I will get besides kickass visual quality. <- feels tempted to add in a " kana? kana?" word here)

Well "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni" is one of my favorite series, it's simply one of the best mystery stories I've ever seen. I know that everyone out there that hasn't seen it would be really pleased when you see the whole story. It's really amazing (and shocking too!) how they change between cute and lovely scenes, to terrifying one, everything on the same chapter.
Right know I'm seeing "higurashi no Naku Koro ni KAi" the sequel. I've seen the first 6 episodes and I can't wait to see the complete mystery around the oyashiro-sama cruse, and the truth about what is happening on the Hinamisawa village.

Nii~ pa! .... LOL

Like a lot of people said already, I loved it. After I watched the whole thing I was certainly pleased. I liked how it would start out with the group having a fun day, which always made me laugh, but then become very, mysterious, suspenseful, and scary! I would recommend this.

The second series of this anime is getting good, I love rika-chan, how she changes from her regular "nipa~~" to her serious self is awesome. It was a shock to me how this anime just changes from happy to scary without really any transition, it's like your in heaven, then your in hell, so maybe tha't why this anime seems so scary... Anyway awsome show, can't wait what happens next!

Right now it's the second chapter of the second season of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. Wonder what will happen next, because this is a brand new story.

At first I thought the Kai series (aka the second season) was just like the first season. I didn't realy get it. But now I think I understand it more.

I love Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni! Especially the Kai series! It's full of tons of blood and plot, which are things I love best in this series! xD

Hmm...I am personally liking the Kai series better than season 1......there is less horror creepiness so far (although I may have just jinxed it XD)
Plus the animation is better...I think they had a higher budget to work with this time...

Not to mention that Rika has always been my favorite character XD I'm glad she's getting the lime-light now...Rika has honestly made it into my top 5 favorite animes characters of all time :)
I don't like Hanyuu very much though...she's cute...her voice sounds like Ayu from Kanon (is it? o.O I'll have to look that up...) But she's so pessimistic~! X_X

Hey, has anyone watched the english version yet? well, i haven't watched a full episode, but there's this preview thing thats like 7 minutes long and the english voices are crappy.
keiichi sounds like ichigo kurosaki(thats the closest comparison i can think of)
rena's voice is too high pitched
satoko sounds weird
shion/mion is okay
rikas voice is like the opposite of cute...
oiishi sounds too gruffy
and thats about it, my fav scene, the one with the cards...

They are marketing this whole thing wrong (by the cover), so I don't think they are going to do a much better just with the VA. Not going to touch this one.

I like hirugashi no naku koro ni it very good anime, it has something. Music is also good. I recommend it. I didn't watched kai but i will.
