Hmmm I hope they did a good job on it... though... i wouldn't expect much since the characters are a bit different... The person who suppose to play Shion or Mion should look at least above average... since those two does look above average in the anime... rika and satoko should look youngers... like the other mention above. Keiichi look a bit girly to me somehow... anyway i will wait and see... hope they did a good job on acting.

Cool i would like to see this live movie .. hmh .. very interesting see how they make this effects and stuff like that :) .. i very interested on this movie!!

I watched a trailer for it on youtube that showed the acting in it and i have to say it doesnt look fantastic. it just doesnt have the same feel as the anime does, and none of the characters fit properly.
I expect that they'll still follow the plot from the original series. I do hope they'd make them look like the original characters. Keiichi does not look like keichii from the other series. well if the acting is good and the plot is good I guess we can overlook at the fact that they do not look like the cast from the anime.
Is shion also in the live action? i dont see her in the picture @@.. anyway, those live action actors dont really suit higurashi characters IMO... hopefully it wont be like death note live action, which was a disappointment compared to the anime >"<

In my opinion, I really don't think it's going to turn out that well. An anime as great as Higurashi will not work well adapted into live action film because the anime pulled it off perfectly and I think it will turn out just like the Death Note live action film.

That video gives a little bit more into the acting and characters and from looking at this I can say I am generally not looking forward to it, the characters all look to old for their depicted age and Rena-chan is not even wearing her signature uniform :(

I'd love to see it, as the first arc of Higurashi was my favorite. 
(though the scariest was Watanagashi-hen...) But the pictures just killed it for me. 
Keiichi looks retarded. What happened to Rena's crazy hair? And Satoko looks like Rika...and they both look as old as the rest!

Aw...Rena and Satoko look a bit too old for their characters. Satoko is very loli.
I think it is awesome so far from the trailers I have seen and also eiko shimamiya's new song fits it well. I very much can't wait for it to come out. Though It will be a while before I can see it because of the fact I don't know japanese all to well.
