So the first 2 episodes are out (the third is, but hasn't been subbed yet that I know of?).

The first episode was funny, but the second one was mind blowing to me. It's everything I can expect from Higurashi, I can't wait to see how it pans on in the rest of Rei.

though i had expect that from the first time cause the first idea of the first series is already been done, but i just hope the creator made another theme that is just as creepy as the first season and not just OVA *sigh*

Seeing as I haven't yet got myself in gear to read the manga I hope there'll be some exposition on the frankly mindscrewy ending of Kai (still haven't figured it out...) and who the older-and-taller-Rika-lookalike was (Frederika or something like that), and some of that good ol'e ultra-violence wouldn't be completely out of place either...
Incidentally, with the shift in art style I think it's a little unnerving that all of them have those empty crazy-eyes all the time. Not to mention Renna's obsession with K1's balls and her insistence to call it his "little bro'".

Its going to be a long wait till we can finish up this series , hopefully rika will massacre some more ;d
