Athrun & Cagalli Wallpaper
Hi guys, this is my first wallpaper to post here:

and i'm not satisfied with it, i feel like there aren't many effects in the wallpaper, so would anyone please help with that? thanks in advance.

Well first of all: the amount of effects does not say anything about the quality of the wallpaper. There can be walls with almost no effects - being simple - and still be veery interesting.
As I looked at the oncoming wallpaper I also had the feeling that something is missing and then I had an idea: maybe you could create a real sky out of the orange background (e.g. a sunset) and maybe - I don't know if it is a good idea and if it is realizable (so you have to decide yourself of course if it is good) - create some ground or some rocks or some town or something else in the background under the sky. But that of course is only my idea. What I really like is the light effect on the characters - it makes me feel as if the scan always was intergrated into this background.

I agree with the sunset idea. The lighting seems setup good enough that it would fit a nice sunset, with not too harsh back-light of course.
It's not too much of a problem, but the side of the character/gun is cut off at the edge. If you could move it over a smidge, it would look better.

I think it looks pretty good cept the actual landscape is too uniform, Ground is usually more rugged in texture or just make the land cragged texture.

Much improved, but still needs some work. More foreground just behind them maybe.
Is that stock? if so, drop it.
also, keep the chars opaque...the see through ness looks stupid.

Stronger shadows, given the lighting. And... the text is too obvious. Make it glowing like the sun and move it down lower so it isn't so central D:
Maybe add some fighting behind the characters, it doesn't seem like there's a lot going on. Love the sunset though^^
Looking much better. The sun itself is a little bright - I can't look at it for long. And, would it look better a little more to the left of the charecters? Also, I agree with Furikuu about the text.

Personal aesthetic, The glow on the text is kind of distracting to me, and the sun still hurts my eyes, Compositionaly I really like it and composition is key.
It looks really good, but the text really kills it for me...
I would suggest surfing through:

and look for a suitable font.
