What are your reasons to live in Japan?
Thank you for your comments! :)
Not like most people, who crave to run to places that have good things; I like the idea of returning to the busy streets of japan and seeing my old friends there.
Most people in japan have good respect for people, which I honor.
and... the places there are just really nice. XD
Nothing in particular.
Spentzar
Lol. You're so innocent, it's sad. Read up a lil bit on Japan.
Totally agree XD
If your imagining everyday Japanese life to be constantly exciting, always having closely bonded friends nearby as portrayed in anime, you need to wake up from your little fantasy world :P
About the the values you listed, thats kinda an overgeneralized view of Japanese people Lolz. Most azn countries are very family orientated, meaning that your values of discipline, and respect are commonplace. However, although that may sound good and all, i dont think you know wat it means in actual practice. I speak from experience as I have been, is, and always will be azn and all.
Firstly, Discipline. Azn parents tend to enforce so much discipline that its more of a dictatorship at home. They have such high standards that you have to abide by that its very stressful.
Respect? Lmao, IMO azn families have way too many "respectful practices". Its so strict that I want to tell them to let loose at times -.- except that would be disrespectful :P
Also, plz dont say you like their culture b4 until u're a bit more informed about wat their culture is... I think the culture your thinking of is the stereotypical view displayed to western society. If thats true, your only really looking at the tip of the iceberg.
Word of advice, dont believe everything you watch and hear on TV.

I got accepted for Sciences in the University of Tokyo, so that maybe tilted my reason towards living there. It's not like anime and the TV or whatever. Life for me at least will be hard. Small room, practice a foreign language, and try to find new friends and connections I guess. The reason I applied here was that the program for Medicine in Japan was 6 years compared to the 4 years undergraduate degree then 4 years of medical school, followed by a 3 year intern and residence study coming up to 11 years, while if I take it in Japan, the degree applies in North America, needing only a 1 year refresher course totaling 7 years. So I save 4 years of not studying, decided I come back, that is. I guess it's more of a educational point of view for me.
:D.
Try being a foreigner who isn't asian in Japan. Rofl Japan, (i don't like saying this myself) is the most racist country in the world. Less then 1% of the population consists of foreigners...of any kind. Xenophobia is supreme rule, and people think that because you're white you naturally don't understand ----(...). They think of you as dumb and uneducated. People will stare at you for being different, sometimes right smack in your face.
Now this is not to mention weird customs, like let's say skirts. Japanese women/girls MUST wear skirts, Why? because skirts are cute and if you don't wear one you're not attractive, It can be -34 F, you will see women in skirts.
Kancho. <----Wikipedia, (do NOT want to go into detail)
On the other hand, it is considered good luck to have sexes with foreigners, and as far as my knowledge over sexes goes, White Males are a little bit more gifted then Asian Men, and if you disagree, I will contradict you by asking you to send me your MSN screen name so i can send you two movies consisting of white peoples having sexes and asian people having sexes, and there you shall compare the men's willies, and although i shouldn't be watching this, this is for Sex Ed. No questions asked, okay?
Now leave me alone as i must censor out any bad words for i speak in a naughty way.
Good day to you, sir.
