As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!

About 5 hours ago, I uploaded a wallpaper. Everything was normal, and the "your image has been accepted" little notification guy at top came out as well. Everything was all cool. Then, my DSL connection went out. In my confusion, (yes, I was confused indeed), I saw that I still had the same amount of wallpapers, that no new wallpaper had appeared on the front page, etc etc. I waited 10 minutes, and still no change. So naturally, I thought that due to my internet connection breakage, that I hadn't actually submitted anything. Thus I uploaded another copy of my wallpaper. I thought to myself, "meh", and walked away. Had dinner, watched TV, etc.

So here's the thing.

About 20 minutes ago, I got an AP bot message saying "blah blah...double upload", which, yes, I did upload the wallpaper twice. But the problem is, why did my wallpaper end up in the moderation queue in the first place? I've been a senior member for a good amount of time now, so this shouldn't happen, right? I'm guessing the reason might be related to this:

About a week ago, I donated a small amount of money to AP, thus the status "Donating Member". Maybe the system recognizes me as a regular donating member now?

Hypothetically, I could test my theory by uploading a pile of stuff, but I'd rather not do that...

Thanks.

Permissions are set by group and not by individual user. Your assertion that the donor status is the cause of submissions now going to the approval queue is correct. This isn't a bug as the results are expected. Its more of an oversight in the design of member levels. Essentially additional groups need to be established to define cases where membership isn't mutually exclusive.

Am I allowed to put in a request to have it changed back? Or is only Bantam able to do that? I sent him a private message about this (changing of the status, not about the submission queue) not too long ago, but I guess he's too busy at the moment.

Can do. It just means until things are sorted you'll lose the perk of unlimited wallpaper downloads. Fine by you?

When I wrote the automatic donation system I assumed all donators would be members so I set no checking for donations from 'higher' statuses, I can switch your status back though, you'll still get the same benefits, just your old status. Just let me know your old status.

Sure, I was a senior member before the switch. I'd like to have the old status back please. Thanks for your help.
