This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.

Hello
I just finished a vector wallpaper of Honey & Clover and I wanted everyone to comment on it please so I can decide if I should submit it yet.
Everything apart from the clouds is completely made by me, based on a a few scans. The characters, bridge, steps and general setting is based on those scans. The sky is a stock photo of the sky which I edited to make it fit better.
I'd like to thank solwyvern for bringing to my attention this new (to me) method of vectoring and Unmei of FerriCorp for writing an excellent tutorial on this method.
Well, here it is.
If anyone's curious, this is the setting of scans I based it on.

Due to popular request, I've added birds on the top right and trees.
More complete (c) section too.

That's a Very big vector! :) You even vectored the flyover.
It was a good idea combining the right-most character with the image. It fits very well. This is what makes vectoring really nice. So many possibilities.

Nice job with the concrete. It really 'looks' like concrete. Did you brush it?
The guy on the scooter, I noticed you didn't put on his shirt patterns. It would have been hell to make that. >_<! good idea making it a plain white shirt.

The upper right section feels a little empty. Maybe you could add something like birds or a plane?
Also, I'm visualizing a tree somewhere in the image. It might look good with one behind the characters somewhere.
Textures on the grass might give it a 'wow!'
Try playing around with the blending options. sometimes, you'll be surprised by the effects.

In the end, Great vector! you must have a very strong fan-base for this anime to vector something this big.
I hope this gets accepted. Good luck!

Already pretty solid as is, my main suggestion is to work on the clouds, because they're lacking somewhat in perspective - clouds become flatter as they go further away. The clouds stock you used is appears to have camera angle looking almost directly upwards, so there isn't a feeling of distance especially with the sky that appears just above and below the flyover.

What the rest have suggested about birds and whatnot for the space at upper right also holds.

Good luck!

Sorry I really can't remember where I got the clouds. It's a stock from a long time ago ^^'

Thanks for everyone's suggestions! I think I'll upload it now
