Zelda - A Link to the Past Almost done?
Hey there guys I have bad habit of starting more wallpapers before I finish another haha! but here is one I started a while ago for the Vectorness Fantasy theme this month. Watcha think? I vectored Link, the sword and the light triforce.

EDIT:
Well It took me along time but I managed to thin the lines, add a few details in the hand and some other places but if you see the original scan there isnt much to work from. no details at all. I tried to make them blend a bit better now as well. How does it look?

Well, your scan and your bg don't really match right now, your bg is very detailed, and has this grainy/distorted look, which is really cool, btw, but your scan (sorry, I mean your vector) is very crisp, and almost chibi-ish with the huge outlines. I suggest either adding more details to your vector, (which would look awesome, but be rather time consuming) or making your bg more like your vector, more cartoon-ey with bigger outlines. (that prolly wouldn't look so good, honestly) but otherwise, great concept, and I like what you have done so far, you just need to make the 2 match.

I don't really like the big outlines you put on the character and... Do you see the face? Cause I don't... You have a missing part there :-s
The left hand is pretty not clear and I don't think the ray of light should go ON the back of Link... Simple perspective thing.. But it's not possible...
You add a transparent part in the sword... What is it? o_O I don't get how the sword has a transparent part in it... But I don't know much about Zelda...
One of your light ray on the right is placed in the circle and that shows... You need to move it out of the circle.
I guess with tha angle of the white light you should have a bit bigger shadow on the left side and why have a yellow reflection coming from the blade when the light is white?
I know I'm annoying you with those questions but... You ask me! :p ^^
Good luck but like Melly I would rather prefer you to work on a less chibby wall and more creepy and strange-Magic-fantastic-fantaisy wallpaper! ;)

I cant say much about the concept because i havent seen nothin about zelda, ive only played once but thats all:(
mm but about your wallpaper i think that the scan doesnt match the background... the background is awesome, with thoise lights getting to the forest, and the darkness of it, the both make the background look better, but for the scan as mellykill said you shoul meke both, the backfround or the scan match...
i think thats it, i can find any other problems with it! youve got a pretty good start!
good luck!*:)

Theres a new post up there. hehe.
Thats impruving, the scan matches the background but now ive noticed something really wrong!^^*
the scan, zeldas feet are like floating over the leaves, that doesnt look good, i dont know maybe im getting blind or something, but i think he is!:(
mm i think that all for now! keep the good work up and improving!

Great! now they are more matching.
one more thing to take note of, you have a lot more textures in your bg than your scan, and also, your bg, although colorful, is also desaturated, (your colors are more muted) you might want to try toning the colors of your vector slightly to make it more like your bg.

Did you vector him out of a pic or just do it yourself because if you look his thighs look very strange, and his arm the one that doesnt have the shield, also his hand
Yeah, I vectored it from a very horrible and small image so its not 100%. Also the left arm wasnt like that so I had to create it. :p how can I make it seem more real? ALso, they wouldnt accept it because its considered fan art.

Awww, so they won't accept your wallie?
that's really too bad.. but don't scrap it yet, you've got a great background going, you just need to find a better scan.

Wah i've just come back & it's almost done! haha ok yup like what mellykill said, keep the bg. but why is it fan art? it's vectored from a scan right?

I say find a new image of link and vector that, one that matches with the background better.
