Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

I called my sister a couple of days ago, we were chit-chating about stuff when she brought to the conversation my imaginary friend (which I don't remember). She said I named it "Mario" and I used to say he/she/it was my relative. I wonder what kind of people develop that stuff?

I don't recall that part of my childhood but I've been asking and looks like everybody else remembers it. why did I forget? I recall naming my belongings and talking to them but I never spoke to them expecting an answer so I reckon that doesn't count?

Have you ever had one of those? do you know the meaning?

I loked for it in wikipedia but doesn't really help: Imaginary friend

When I was little I thought an imaginary friend sounded like fun so I tried to make one up... It didn't work >_> I really wanted one! I even tried taking to... well nobody in hope of an imaginary friend showing up that didn't work either ^^' I was a weird child... I talk to my stuffed animals, they're such good listeners ^^ but I suppose many children do that. I still think that faving an imaginary friend would have been fun.

Freaky, i remembered mine, it was actually after my first time watching anime which was DBZ at the time, and I eneded up creating an imaginary friend if I remember correctly called "Bu Ku" (in chinese it means "doesn't cry"), I guess one can say it was a time when I was a cry baby, I sort desperately needed someone to hear me out, and I know parents are never there since I was raised by my aunt and uncle. Being the only child who is outside of the family sort of hurts bad you know? Though my aunt and uncle and me are actually in the best of family terms, like their own son they raise me, in the end it was always kinda distanced, prolly because I needed to.

Then, out of nowhere, Bu Ku appeared to me and began talking to me, I guess, one can say it is a subsconcious mind, I feel and gain confidence, I even remember whenever I was down, I would ask him something, and he will always say, you shouldn't cry over small matters like these, there are people who have far worse fates than you, you are a loser if you do.
Harsh as he may seem, like his name, he never `cries and never did, even when he faded back into my memories, however, I remember well, and it was not until I did actually taken advice to rely on friends and so on did I begin to forget him.
I believe he was a subconcious mind of mine, somewhere I would have imagined it was him who drove me to become a gangster leader for a short few years during high school since he was a tough cookie.

I don't think it has a special meaning, actually...They say it's normal for kids. ^^

When I was young, I didn't exactly have imaginary friends: not the kind you talk to, that no one can see. The ones I had were all in my mind, just in there. I didn't show that I had those friends, not in the real world, if you know what I mean. It was kind of like watching another life in my mind. The friends I had were almost always animals, mostly because back in those days I was, erm, anti-social. XD Yeah. They included a talking kingfisher, a white hawk, a flying horse, and a wolf-like animal with wings, horns, and a long stingray-like tail...Didn't give them original names, though. XD

Well, I think that I have never had an imaginary friend in the past. But it seems to me that it is quite nice, ne?
However, I used to think of myself as a different person in my mind, I had a different name and life. It was like if I was living another life. It was quite funny, and it was good to me because back to that time, it was the best way for me escape from some problems :)
But I think that having an imaginary friend is good. I mean, I think that it can permit a child to occupy himself in addition to exorcise some of his fears. At least that's what I think.

Well that's just normal.. i didn't have one though..
But i remember whe i was 12 o_o a boy from my class said he had a friend, called ET, and that he was from another planet. There was a whole story behind it, something with lights or.. dunno. Everybody called him freaky.. and then years later i met him again.. and i asked him about that friend, and he said he couldn't see him/it anymore, and that he had changed his society group.. well the guy was weird...
And about me again, no one told me i had an imaginary friend... And i think i was too shy to have friends at school, especially such a 'close' one.

I don't have an imaginary friend but when i can't sleep (exams, ...) and i've no new manga or book to read. i start inventing a strory in my mind like if i was an anime character and it permits me to evacuate my stress and change my mind. It's better than viewing equations around my mind; believe me.

I believe you. Actually, it is almost the same thing from me, except the fact that the other me is a human being who has a entire life :) It is a good why to escape from problems and reality ^_^

I tried another me with a different life but "in fine" it makes you think again of your real life and stress and other things came back to surface ... (for me).

You are right, but I found that it helps me to project those problems in another self who is quite different from me... It may seem strange, but it helped me solving some problems...

It's not strange, everyone has its own method to overcome stress, problems, ... and if it works all methods are good.

Yes, certainly. At the end, I think that all of these things help us to evacuate stress, and that's the most important.
