I'm actually both reading AND watching NANA, but I thought it'd be nice to discuss the newest form of NANA-- the anime version.

I've currently watched eps 1-12, and will be watching 13 & 14 soon. If you haven't seen these, or haven't read very far into the manga, caution for spoilers. Please, no spoilers about the manga, since the anime is behind in the plot. Spoilers about the manga may also disappoint those who are following NANA in ShoujoBeat...so please, keep the topic to the TV version please.

I must say that I love NANA and the anime version is great. It's nice to hear some of BLAST, which you have to imagine when reading the manga. Episode 1 was really more like an episode 0, since it doesn't follow how the manga opens. I think this was a good thing 'cause when I started reading NANA and got Nana O's part, I was a bit confused at first...until the train scene with BOTH Nana's.

EPISODE 12 deals with Shoji and his dilema with Nana K and Sachiko...

I LOVE the character desing behind Sachiko...Yazawa's talent really shows. I find it really hard to hate Sachiko's character...and in a weird way I feel guilty towards Nana K for NOT hating Sachiko. Yazawa created a character so cute and seemingly innocent...and the way the story unfolds it really makes it hard to hate her. If a few things were altered, Sachiko would be the stereotypical other woman character that is easy to hate. It really makes the entire situation seem realistic and makes you think a little harder about the responsibilities of each character-- Nana, Shoji, and Sachiko.

I haven't read the manga yet, but I love the story.
I#ve seen the movie and the serie till ep. 11

Nana K. is really cute, I love her character, but she seems to be a little bit silly and childish.
In the opposite the other Nana is a woman of realistic.
I like her toughness...

But I don't know who Sachiko is. I can't remember her. Does she appear in the first 11 episodes?

Never saw this anime , but it seem that the caracter design is the same of Paradis kiss

OMG, why is this show not popular?! Why is there no one commenting?! This show is so great, it almost feels like I'm not even watching an anime but a real drama. I suppose maybie thats the problem. Maybie its just not odd enough for most anime fans...

I've only watched the frist episode, then I stopped. Because before the series was released I watched the NANA live-action movie.
I really didn't want to go thru watching something I've already seen. I mean I know the stories are little different.
But, ya, that's all I can really say.

As much as I have tried to like the anime I just can't. I find the story more enjoyable in the manga! I really don't like any of the voices in the anime at all. Nana K is painful to listen to and so is Junko. It isn't even that much different than the manga (so far) so it doesn't feel "new" when a new episode comes out. I don't even look forward to each week's release.

Once it gets too close to where the manga is I won't watch it, since I'd rather read the new developments than watch them, as odd as that seems.

That's a little harsh. Shouji should not have cheated on Hachi, but he can't help it if he's fallen in love with another woman. It takes two to maintain a relationship, and Hachi really didn't carry her own weight. She's often whiny, selfish, and childish, so I honestly can't blame Shouji for getting tired of her. He made a big mistake, but that's life.
