DOA (Dead or alive) FTW!
Just curious, who in here is a DOA fanatic like me lol. Hands down my favorite game for 360. Oh ya and the new volleyball one's not that bead either heh ;)
Seems DOA fans are hard to find. (so many people look down on it. for various reasons) However i've enjoyed the game sense Doa 2 * With the exception of the final boss (who is so beyond broken it boggles the mind) Doa 4 is prolly my favorite. (with Doa 2 for the dreamcast comiing in a very very close second)
I've always been a DOA fan, but I wouldn't say I'm fanatic (though I did just buy all 3 versions of Bome's Kasumi figure, so I'm a little bit more than a regular fan). I do have to say though that's it not easy finding DOA fans out there; everyone else is camped with Tekken or Street Fighter (which I do like as well mind you). I don't much like playing online either; I'm a casual DOA fan, and anyone who plays online is always either a button mashing kid or a Korean pro, neither of which I enjoy playing with/against. DOA4 is great, but they really upped the difficulty, certainly not for the casual gamer like me. Rather than make it more accesible, they went and alienated casual players, which is why they are hard to find. I haven't gotten DOAX2 yet, and I'm in no rush to do so; I barely played DOAXBV as it was (I pretty much just bought it because it was a DOA title, not because I wanted to play it).
Ya they are a rare thing, the majority of people absolutely hate it or, love it, theres not much in-between.
I think it was DoA 3 that I played. Anyway, I don't remember much from it seeing as I only for a few minutes, so I really don't have much of an opinion about it. I'll probably give it a try once I get a 360.
Its alright.. its still no Tekken
Infamousits alright.. its still no Tekken
True enough. It seems it's simplicity makes it acessable to a larger audience at the cost of depth (gameplay wise) Likely one of the reasons why people either love it or hate it. With another likely being the abundant use of fanservice :P
Though in the end all fighting games pale in comparison VF4 evolution (Just my opinion. take it with a grain of salt :P)
I prefer the Dead or Alive Xtreme Games to the DOA fighter Games personally. After the 4th Dead or Alive Game I just went off of it all together.
Like a couple said before, I enjoy DOA but not to the point that its consumed my fighting game interest. I have a couple models of the fighters like kasumi ^_^ but thats about it. Its one of my favorite 3d fighters but i'd still rather play the 2d King of Fighters.

The series has always been fun for me. It's not as deep as other fighters on the market, but I think that's why it's popular. Anybody can play it, and more often than not somebody who just picked up the game has a good chance of beating somebody who's been playing for a while.
