I want to show my new project, but it's not finished at all.
Soma , haunting the castlevania !! ^^
I'll add a castle on te left side, in front of the moon.
I want to add a village too at the bottom of the picture.
Some bats will surely be invited to the party ^^ LOL

Castel, bats and moon.. are looking good...
although the scan on the right side.. is not matching with your background
and also it looks a bit strange... cause i can not see her complete body...
also maybe if you try that scan with another color... a darker one, maybe it could blend better.. but i'm still not sure... i don't see the two things matching (scan + background)
Anyway keep working.. maybe you can come with something better ^_^

Yeah...hummmm...personaly i'm very satisfied of the Chara / background compatibility. Soma is mixed with the clouds and the thunder, and as luminous as the moon, it seems like his hand is amalgamated with it. I like this effect.
I added a forest to hide his ( Soma is a guy ) uncomplete body...and to add a little landscape by the same occasion. ^^ ( argghhhh extracting this forest was horrible !! ^^')

well the trees look good there..
anyway a little suggestion... i think you could add some more trees on the right side... to fill the blue space.. so that the scan edges get a bit covered.. and look better...

Mmm... it doesn't looks so good, cause it seams a bit unrealistic..
if you think a bit a tree doesn't have that shape...
so an advise is...
go to www.deviantart.com and search for a stock photo of a tree...
there are some trees that are easy to extract.. search a bit and you will find those that i'm talking about... extract a tree and place it there...
the color of the tree won't be a problem since you want it dark.. so you just need to change the blending modes and change the color to black and play a bit with the different blending modes... hope you understant what i mean..
