Does age really matter?

What's the maximum age you're willing to go to for a person you want to date? And, can does it have to be older/younger than you? I'm a little curious. I've got a crush on somebody (I think?) who's like, 9 years older than I am. I'd like to hear some input.
And please, if you want to give me "Age doesn't matter" at least explain why it doesn't, instead of the cut and dry statement.

Well in MY opinion, i like a girl who is either a maximum of 5 years older or 5 years younger. But everybody is entitled to their own preferences though, so i respect what others have to say about it.
9 years difference isnt too bad. Its just a matter of getting the girl you like to feel the same way, and presto! Really, age doesnt matter as long there is love between the two people! ^^

Hehe, I can respect that. The thing is, the person I'm into is *really* sooo much more mature than I am. To go out with me would be more like a hassle and a babysitting trip, instead of a serious relationship. That's actually what I'm more concerned about. 9 years is still quite a difference, no matter how you view it. And it could even be a generation gap, depending on culture.
Whatever makes you happy. Personally, I usually go maximum 5 years younger or older, but that's just preference. I have to agree with the old statement that age really doesn't matter.

AAAAhhhhh. I'm so flustered! I really click with this person, and we joke around a lot (often, just pranks) and it just suuucks when I see him w/an older perosn. Dammit, why do I have to be so young!!

Well, i choose the 5 year limit because... well, its just a personal preference!! You never know, i could go for a 6 yr gap or even 7!

Remember: A crush/infatuation/attraction and love are two different things. Don't confuse between them. One is just a passing phase whereas the other is for eternity.

Um... How do I get to know which one I'm under? That's a pretty tall glass you ordered. ^_^;; I'm pretty bad in relationships, so I don't really know a way around to finding out.

I think it al depnds on the person and how much we realy love them.. but i would say minum 4 or 5 years younger.. and maximum 5 to 6 years older... but also it depnds how old we are and the other person is..

I don't think there's an age for loving...love is love, and when you know you're in love then it doesn't matter if you are older or younger it's just about happiness and that's all...but it depends on your opinion
