Started playing Super Robot Taisen J a few days ago
and, i guess this is one of the best single player games I've played!
The Super Robot Taisen series are turn based war games where you use your favorite series from other anime or games.
Version J includes Gundam Seed, Gundam G, Full Metal Panic!, Magaziner Z... and lots more XD
its all in Japanese though o.O you you'll have to play around a bit to get used to it ><
good thing Japanese shares some characters with Chinese so it didnt take me too long to figure things out
Highly recommend this game to people who are bored and dont know what to do o.O

Yay, someone who knows about super robot taisen games other than me ^_^ arbalest is one of the best units after it gets the lambda driver, but the best ones by far are Tekkaman and Zeorymer......zeo`s map attack is by far the best one in the whole game :)
Well, i only use the robots from the series im familiar with ><
and i dont know which ones are Tekkaman and Zeorymer XD

the first one is zeorymer of the heavens, the second one is tekkaman blade ^_^ both robots are extremely useful, so I suggest you use them as much as possible =)
I'll try him out on my replay XD too late now... his level is too far behind

You`ve been the entire game without using zeorymer at all o.o? wow xD anyway.....which series did you choose as favorites at the beginning?
Very awesome game...or should i say series of game...this game includes some of the new series like FMP and SEED, but also have some really old ones like TB, Zeoymer, BrainPowerd, etc...very ncie game overall...but i do think/believe that this game's difficulty is nothin compare to the oldest one like SRW-4, D, etc...those are REALLY hard in my opinion...and once you 'know what you are doing' in a strategy game...this game is a piece of cake...and yes...zeo and TB are > ARX-7 in the game...but it realy depends on the playing style of the player, on my 2nd re-run, i only use the BP series thru-out the end(of cuz...once i got them...and excludes those stages where comp. forces you to use certain units)...
a...bonta-kun...comedy relieve...nothin beats the good old 'ganging' of grey-bonta-kuns...halarious! >=)

I agree with you, the new games` difficulty is nothing compared to that of the old ones, srw 3 and 4 were just hell -_- though I don`t understand why so many people think of srw F Final as one of the hardest srw`s ._. in fact, I found that game to be quite easy ^_^ (but really fun xD)
I chose Seed, G and FMP
because those are the only ones i recognize o.O
Just for strike gundam with IWSP yesterday, and i think its awesome o.O lot better than the launcher striker version. I think even a bit better than Freedom and Justice?
by the way, what does seed mode do anyway? I didnt see much of a difference?

For your next playthrough, choose these ones: (don`t worry, your favorites will be kept and you`ll be able to choose 3 more)
- tekkaman blade
-zeorymer
- your main unit
then, start using and upgrading zeorymer`s weapons like mad.place him among lots of enemies, use his map weapon and watch your cash rise ^o^ about the IWSP strike......no, it`s not better than freedom or justice. Both of them will get their meteors later, and a combined attack that uses little amounts of energy and is quite strong
seed mode increases your stats I think, the difference isn`t big enough to be noticeable at first sight but it`s there, and helps ^_^

The Map weapon gives a lot of money, but you get less experience because it's easier to kill your enemy. Anyways, I hated what happned to all of the people of the Archangel crew. It went from 6 to 3, and the most useful ones too. Anyone here upgrades their battleships? I upgraded the Archangel and it's a mass murderer. When combined with attack range +2, assault (which allows you to use any weapon after you move as long as you're in range), movement +3, and/or attack x 2, it's destroys the enemies. Upgrade it's armor and defense and it's unbelievably useful.

I used and abused zeorymer`s map weapon, and didn`t notice the decrease in experience.......in fact, zeorymer was one of my most high - leveled people o.o anyways, I never upgraded the battleships because zeorymer, tekkaman blade, freedom/justice and my original units were more than enough to slaughter the opposition without any problems ^o^

I just finished SRW A3...that was anawsome game, but sadly it will be the final series....
I dont have a GBA but when my freind show it to me, it looks good....i like those nadesico bunch, they can be really diffrent like the rest, of course cannot leave out freedom and justice, mazinger Z.

When I know the game has Bonta-kun, I decide to play at once.
However, I play for a long time than I could use Bonta-kun.
