FF AC, here is a film which deserves to be looked at only because of its name if the series were liked, because it is necessary to say it this film is really splendid, to realize well, etc…
The modeling of the characters have a good realism once again coming from Square was necessary to expect it, the scenes of engagements and of continuations are worthy of Matrix for the effect motion blur, in short that good.
To conclude it is a film which it is necessary because it will not be regretted

Other than the movie being superb eyecandy, everyone hears and knows about the US delay (to April now)... seems like I'm hearing the reason why is that Square-Enix is adding more scenes to the US release... anyone confirm that?
I loved AC! I loved the graphics and the movie was very well made I must say I was kinda sad on how saphiroth only showed up for such a short amount of time but hey kadaj is cool too hahaha ^^;; and for guys Tifa is a must see as for grls Cloud ^-^ hahaha and RENO!! ^^;;; and yes for those of you who played the game and loved it the movie is a must... I loved how Cloud used his move it was really cool I think... I think this movie is really worth watching... for the people who have not played the game they should at least get some bakground on the game because it will definately confuse ppl...
FF:AC is Final Fantasy : Advent Children right?
This a good one, for a movie that made from Game..
Beside the story, I like the action and the design of the places!
Looks real, not like a game Graphic! Awesome!
I love to watch the fight between Cloud with Bahamunt-Sin!!

I got the limited advent pieces. i would say, that the visual aspect, the movie was of course very good. but the story was too much to be crammed into a single movie, resulting in a bad storyline. in the end, its still a good movie just on the basis since its one of the first movies of its kind to be completely cg. but the story can be improved

AC is one of the best movies i ever have ever seen that is a follow up on a game, I mean i dont even think anyone has ever done this before, fore a long time people thought that it was a game that was coming out but to my suprize i found out that AC is a movie... The movie is awesome and i just cant get enough of the fight sequences but other that that the movies story line is perfect, It kinda ties up all the loose ends that was left when you finished the game.. actually after watching the movie i was so inspired by it that i started to play the game again.. After a few hours of searching i found all the updates needed to run the game on Windows Xp and with the latest 3d cards so at least it is now running in direct 3d instead of software mode :P still a great game :)
Final Fantasy: Advent Children was an excellent movie that helped to bring about a new measure of closure. I thought that the way they tied it to the original story was rather interesting, with Geostigma being caused by the Lifestream's reactions with the Jenova cells. Cloud is infected with the disease, and it has already proven to be rather fatal.
Unfortunately, that is the least of Cloud's worries, as he now has three rather annoying young men hot on his trail. These three are manifestations of Sephiroth's will, and they are planning on a so-called Reunion of their own, once they locate Jenova's remains. But first, they must locate the remains, and they kidnap several infected children in order to do so. It falls to Cloud to prevent another catastrophe. However, he must first come to terms with what he has done in the past. He still blames himself for Aerith's death, but later realizes that blaming himself won't change anything. Coming to terms with this during the battle in the Temple of the Ancients, he manages to rescue two of the childrem with the help of Vincent Valentine. Unable to save the rest of the children, he returns to the main city of Edge, only to discover that all hell has broken loose. As one of the brothers, named Kadaj, is busy confronting Rufus (the current head of Shinra, the company that discovered Jenova), he releases Bahamut upon the terrified populace. A reunion of sorts occurs where most of the other main players from the game (up to this point, the only three that the viewer has known about are Vincent, Cloud, and Tifa Lockehart) arrive to battle the giant beast. The fighting goes on for a bit, until Cloud arrives on his motorcycle. During the battle that follows, everyone gives Cloud a literal boost upwards, in an attempt to stop the great dragon from unleashing Mega Flare. Unfortunately, things don't go as planned, and Cloud hits the blast head-on, temporarily vanishing into the Lifestream itself, where he receives the final boost from Aerith. This boost allows him to pass through the attack unscathed, and he then proceeded to slay the great beast through the use of Climhazzard.
However, he is too late, for Kadaj has managed to obtain the head of Jenova from Rufus, who, despite being in a wheelchair for most of the movie, is finally proven to be physically fine. The embodiment of Sephiroth's will flees from Strife on a motorcycle, only to be ruthlessly pursued. The other embodiments try to slow Cloud down, but a mass of explosives courtesy of Reno quickly puts an end to that by destroying their remaining motorcycle. Eventually, Cloud catches Kadaj in Aerith's church, only to be attacked once more. The magic misses Strife and hits the flower garden, causing a cloud of water to rise into the air, seemingly burning Kadaj while healing Cloud of his Geostigma. We later learn that the water represents Aerith's final Break, Great Gospel. Then Kadaj takes-off, and the chase is renewed over a few rooftops, until Cloud catches Kadaj once more. They duel one last time, and Cloud finally ends the battle.
Or so he thought. Undaunted, Kadaj throws the box containing Jenova's remains at Cloud, and he instinctively slices it in half, allow Kadaj to absorb part of the contents. By doing so, he changes into the one thing that Cloud feared more than death itself. Sephiroth.
The newly-reborn member of SOLDIER then explains how his original plan would have worked. By utilizing the spirits of those who died with Geostigma, Sephiroth hoped to corrupt the Lifestream enough so that he could control the planet, and continue the cycle of destruction that Jenova had started two years earlier. So, when Cloud asks "What will happen to this planet?", Sephiroth's response is "Depends...it's all up to you." Then it hits Cloud. It really is up to him, because he is the only one strong enough to stop the madman. Drawing his sword and allowing his guilt to fall away, Cloud engages in a rather furious battle with Sephiroth, ending the man's life, and the cycle of destruction, through the use of a modified Omnislash. As Kadaj dies, rain finally begins to fall. This is no ordinary rain, but rather another part of Great Gospel. Unfortunately for Cloud, both of the remaining brothers make their appearance, and unleash an explosion that rips apart the building that all three are standing-on, even as they disintegrate in the health-giving rain.
There is a brief appearance from both Aerith and Zack(the man from whom Cloud received his trademark Buster Sword), in which Aerith tells Cloud that that his place is still on the planet. When he awakens once more, he is back in the church, surrounded by the citizens of Edge and all of his friends. He proceeds to cure the last child of Geostigma by pouring water over the boy's head, and as he scans the room, he suddenly stops in his tracks upon seeing Aerith helping two children. As she gets-up to leave, she turns and smiles at Cloud, asking him, "You're alright now, aren't you?" to which Cloud smiles and replies in a whisper, "Yeah, I'm...not alone."

Might be an idea to use spoiler tags on that.
Never fully played ff7 so it was a little confusing for me. Plenty of nice eye candy, BUT i dont go by eye candy like 90% of people nowadays, i care more about story. So i think it would of been better if i played, and finished the game. Some of it was silly, like how cloud flew into the air upwards gaining momentum.
Pretty good looking stuff, but too action packed. i do not mind action, but if someone haven't played FFVII he won't be able to understand a thing.
I have to say that FF:AC is THE best movie ever. I've only seen it once (gonna watch again when I forget more so it's as good again :P) after I watched the movie, I started playing the game again. I finished it and continued to play the rest of FF games on ps1 and ps2 :> And I'm actually playing FFXI on the internet XD.
I guess that means I'm a huge FF fan :)

LaztheredAdvent Children was indeed excellent, and not just because it was pretty and exciting. It actually had a good plot. to quote a friend:
"I actually really liked AC. What Jenova was is fully explained in the actual game so that's why they didn't spend much time on it. They just assume everyone who watches will have played some. Geostigma is the disease caused by the Planet seeking revenge on all the people involved in the original Reunion in the actual game and those who were exposed to Jenova through the Lifestream during the present day (and since in the end of the game, the Lifestream rose up from around the Planet to cover Midgar so as to ward off Meteor, most people infected with Geostigma are in the city and surrounding area). In the game, the people involved in Reunion were exposed to Jenova's cells due to experiments carried out by the Shinra Company and were all branded with a number. Red Xi was part of the series, but they didn't expose him for some reason or the cells didn't take to his body. They never explained in the game. Anywho, the reason the Planet is so pissed, is because Jenova was involved with the calling of Meteor, which almost destroyed the Planet.
Now as for Kadaj and the gang, those three were sort of like projections of Sephiroth's spirit created by the cells of Jenova that got into the Lifestream at the Northern Crater. More specifically, they were imbodiments of Sephiroth's desire to get a hand on Jenova so he could go find his Promised Land again, like in the game.
As for the core of the movie, it's actually more about Cloud forgiving himself than this whole Reunion thing. It's fun watching the movie over again when you actually know that the wolf is representative of Zack being with him and checking out all the places it pops up. The wolf is *always* where Aeris's symbols were too. Even the first time when the wolf is sniffing around Zack's sword, there were flowers near the sword at some point as well. I think this movie effectively killed all Cloud/Aeris-shippers who understood all the symbolism and crap and even some who didn't when Cloud called Aeris 'Mother' XD And hard-core FFVII freaks, like myself, remember that Aeris told Cloud she used to date Zack AND later on in Gonganga village, Zack's parents tell us he wrote home about her XD I'm pretty sure that Aeris only stopped dating him because Zack disappeared (the Nibelheim incident) if you look at how that letter was one of the last they got from Zack."
The person I quote really says it best, but they're not here to say it themselves.
Damn right, Hits the Point deadly perfect.
