Final Fantasy VII for PS3?...
This has possible been the greatest news I've heard in years about Finaly Fantasy. Many Hardcore fans (including myself) still cling on to the great classic of Final Fantasy VII. I believe it's possible THE best one out of the 12. The movie Adven Children was FAR greater than the previous Final Fantasy movie Spirits Within. But enough of that, I really want to know if they really are going to remake the game for PS3. If so, obviously every fan of Finaly Fantasy will be all over Best Buy or whatever. Please either try and knock some sense into me about this. If they really are going to remake it, or it's just a sick comment in GamePro Magazine*
I read somewhere that square enix confirmed that they will not remake final fantasy vii. and as you might've read also, the ffvii demo that came out was only to showcase the ps3's specs and what not.
i for one would love to see a ffvii remake on the ps3. or maybe even a ffvii-2 based on advent children (maybe not since x-2 was crap haha).

I've heard the same as Retro. They created the intro as a tech demo to showcase the PS3's power. In an article that I read it was pretty apparent that there is not FFVII remake in production currently. When asked if he would like to do a remake, the original producer of the game said he'd love to but has had his hands so full with Advent Children that he hasn't had time to think about anything else.
I'll add my hopes to it, though. I'd love to see it remade or a FFVII-2 (so long as it doesn't go the way of X-2, of course)... I wouldn't mind seeing a FFVi remake either. Something with voices would be cool.

additional information at this time. Nor do we have any information on
what other resources might have that information. The Final Fantasy
VII Tech Demo was strictly a demo to demonstrate the capabilities for the

At first they said that they won't make one, but from the latest interview with Nomura it appears that he wants to make it whenever he'll be finished with his current projects. Personally, I don't want this remake. I've had enough of FFvii stuff and I am really bored from it already. I hope SE will move on and start making more original FFies or other games.
All I can say that if they remade it, I would love them. Forever. I mean, FF7 is obviously one of the best ones out of the series, even with the lousy graphics (don't hurt me). Well, they were amazing back in the day, but let's face it, now they just look hideous. Just think of how awesome of a game it could be if they remade it with beautiful graphics and hightened gameplay.
Well, the original PS2 remake/upgrade plans for FF VII, Vi and IX were canned pretty early on (thanks to Spirits Within being a financial flop). The FF VII PS3 tech demo was absolutely stunning, and I sure as hell would love to play a remade FF VII that looked like that (even with the AC seiyuu doing the voices!), but I doubt it will happen (though I'll still be hoping for it).

I hear the final fantasy VII will be on psp on 2006 and the story is exaclly the same with the old FFVI but they just impove the graphic but i still love it hehe

Are you really sure about it...?? cause I have never heard such news yet but what I know so far is that final fantasy 12 will be release in ps2 soon enough. that is from my point of view. I think it would be great if they do release the final fantasy 7 from ps3. I know most final fantasy fans does know the story already but still, the game will be kind of attractive if it includes the ff7 before crisis and last order. I mean like this will make the complete version of the game...right fellas...?? anyway...I hope they will make it happen if that's the case...by the way, since this final fantasy 7 advent children is sort of succussful to the world...y won't they consider it for making the rest of the final fantasy movie...?? something like final fantasy 8, 9 and so on...?? perhaps start making it from the first final fantasy might be a llonnnngggg time though...LOL
If they do a FF7 on PSP, that would be really friggen SWEAT!!!!
GIve it updated graphics, maybe some voice acting (since the UMD formate can hold DVD-quality vids) and you've got yourself a hot cake (especially since there are no other platforms that the game was on that I know of)

Lol, i wouldn't want it on the psp, because it would'nt be too good as a remake. It would look ALOT better on the ps3, but it might boost up the psp sales it if was going to be out for it. I played FFVII more then three times but i would love to replay it on the next gens. I bet the movie made every person who watched it want more of it, and dreaming for a remake lol!. I bet they will remake the game. just wait and see
I don't think that its going to be a game for the PS3. I read somewhere that it was just a demo. No further games or movies based on that show.
I'd have mixed feelings abuot having FFVII being remade for PS3. I'd love to see the game remade with update graphics, but then it might have lost the integral charm of the game itself.

I've heard about it, it's called Cerebrus something, and I think it's going to be out for PS3. It'd be great if they decided to remake every single game of FF, although they shouldn't make such a big deal out of it, otherwised people would just buy those games and find themselves playing the same as always. It should be a discreet production, and all that stuff, not to let players so anxious. Of course, that's gonna take centuries
I wish they would remake this game but like, instead of the regular FF format have it plain like resident evil. Where you can walk around and swingyour sword and stuff. That would be cool. and have a real time battle system. But I'm not sure ow they'd do it since you have people on your team.
