Well i don't see neon genesis evangelion here so i want to make it
i love the anime but the manga its an other matter
its 100 time better than anime because in the manga you can see the true shinji also the quality its wonderful
but its too slow one book on year i m waiting fir the 11th volume i think its will be so great :)
tell me if you love it and tell me how do you imagine the end of the manga it will
be like the film or it will be like the anime or something new
i think it will be something new i can't imagine but i m so exited about it i can't want until the 2 last volume appear ;)

I prefer by far the manga than the anime, but if Sadamoto is going to give us the same ending than in the series... yuck... that's why the "RE-TAKE" doujin took us out of our misery and we could get to see a "good" ending for a good title like NGE is.

The anime is much more superior than the manga. I don't know, but the manga is somehow.. easier to predict and the part on book 7th and 8th.. Yuck. What is Rei doing there? Just be cool as usual, wont she?

Well, I don't know how far the Manga of Neon Genisis Evangelion goes, but it seems like the Anime has more details. I mean the production of further Mangaa volumes seemed to stop since the huge impact of the Anime version.
How many Volumes does the Manga have anyway? I have 4 volumes total, 2 of'em from VIZ-Graphic Novel in English and volumes 3 and 4 in German.

I like the manga better. the plot flows better and the anime wasn't that great quality. the anime had extra angels and not as many people dying. the art is superb as well. i think it outstrips the anime by a significant margin.
Also what i liked the most in the manga is the fact that toji is killed by shinji (in the anime they say he survived)
and its the same thing for kaji he killed his friend and his brother so both of them has to fight and i think is a very
big idea supported by the manga because childeren must know the truth about death and they must take the responsibility of their act even if they still havn't 18

Manga and anime a some of the best realization of all times.
But may be in manga the relation between asuka an shinji are deeper.

Uh... no... the fact is that the relationship between Shinji and Rei develops MUCH more in the manga, leaving Asuka's character pretty much underdeveloped, to the extent that it looks much more like a secondary character (no surprise here, since Sadamoto himself is a huge fan of Rei).
The other major difference is the relationship between Shinji and Kaworu (whom appears much more earlier, to the point of even speaking once with Asuka, telling here that "it" won't move if she doesn't open her heart and mind, just before Ariel (the Angel that gets pwned by the Lance of Longinus) attacks. The fact is that Shinji despises him since the first time, despite all the efforts of the Angel of Free Will, Tabriz, to get closer to him (by the way, Shinji crushes him with his EVA with a smile...)
Now, if you want to read an approach to an Evangelion history about Shinji and Asuka, I recommend the "RE-TAKE" series, a doujinshi published by Studio Kimigabuchi with a very interesting history, stating that all what happened since the 12th Angel (Leliel, that sphere that absorbed EVA-01 with it's shadow) until the End of Evangelion (Shinji strangling Asuka) was only a dream... right? Seeing that it may not be so, he tries his best to evade that horrendous future, to the point of even defeating by himself the 13th, the 14th and the 15th, but an Asuka with all the wounds she received by the 9 copy lances of the EVAS series and that only he can see insists that all his efforts are in vain... despite the odds, he goes on challenging the 9 harpies with only 3:30 minutes of power left in Unit-01 (yes, you read right, no S2 organ this time).
The art is superb, and the fact that it consists in 5 volumes, having even it's own OST reveals how great this doujinshi is, really, if you like even a little bit Evangelion, it's a must read, surpassing by far, in my opinion the original one being done by Sadamoto (lol, it doesn't matter how is the ending he will give us, the fans will flame him and wish to hang him for spending more that 10 years to finish... I will be satisfied if he shows up the fight of the 9 against Asuka ^^).

sure i'm agree with you rei from the manga are better than the rei from the anime i liked a lot the passage when she tried to make tea for shinji and she can't than its him who made it for her :)
it doesn't exist in the anime also the fact that she is the one who save him when the eva want to took him
and not Dr akagi sometimes i wonder why it don't mentioned in the anime
shinji challenging the new series of eva without s2 organ it will be great i must get those volume

Really, I was pretty shocked with the final scene of volume 1 of the Kimigabuchi series of RE-TAKE, a total spin off of that scene of Rei making tea for Shinji ^^ just don't start to flame anyone until you read the whole thing.
In my country, the manga stuck at 9th volume. It has been 2 years and still not announced when the 10th will launched. For me, I prefer the manga far than the anime. In the manga, the story looks very alive, like when Shinji want to battle the angel(I've forgotten the name) taht broke to the NERV base, Misato's boyfriend(I've forgotten the name too@_@, In that 2 years I've never touch the manga again. @_@) encourage Shinji to battle. In the anime, it looks nothing special, but in the manga, it feels so touching. @_@

The tory in which Shinji and Asuka work together was indeed more detailed, more seducing and more touching than in the Anime. I liked the Scene in which Asuka asked Shinji, whether he had a father's complex. By the end of the deadline, they Asuka was willing to practice the Synchronized Dance Attack patterns with him by and until the end of the deadline. She took risks to teach that clumsy Shinji the moves until over midnight... And in the morning when Misato was going to wake'em up,... they were sleeping... ^-^-^-^-^
