[Anime Discussion] Karin
Oh boy!
Only time tell us how good or bad Karin will be.
slimchanceI guess I don't like this anime. I thought it will be a serious and comedy but this one seens not to be serious at all. It is okay for fun.
Well, there could be some serious episodes, but it is too early to tell right now since it has just started. Even if it is categorized under the Comedy genre. Tsukuyomi got pretty serious in certain areas, so we won't know until it goes further.

I finally watched Karin and I loved the theme of a "reversed" vampire anime. Sure it has that Moon-phase feel but at the same time, there's this difference that also set it apart.
Animation is crispy clear and the colors are rich with some tinge of desaturation. In the voice acting department, I am really in love with the voice cast for Karin. She has that innocent and playful yet easily embarassed type of voice which really matches her looks really well.
The characters are surely an interesting lot. Drinking blood like drinking wine. LOL!! And the puppet just reminds me of Gokujou Seikotai's Puu-chan. And Kenta just reminds me so much of Seiji from Midori no Hibi.
I guess the comedy is okay but what made me laugh was this:

As for Boogie-kun I believe the correct spelling should be Bge-kun as per the bridging frames.

Yeah...how Japanese spell names can be totally unfathomable, but I prefer to stick to the official version.
I'd give this anime an initial verdict of 8.00 / 10.00. Can't really give it higher since I'm also following other cool titles like Shakugan no Hana, Paradise Kiss, Blood+, Mai-Otome, etc.
And it seems that this is the season of vampires (Karin, Blood+), Hell transporters (Jigoku Shoujo) and supernatural exorcists (SnH). And worse of all...I'm following all of them!

Yeah I've seen the first episode. It looks good. Her mothe kills me and that ending was hilarious.

This isnt a bad anime so far, vampires and comedy..cant go wrong with that
I haven't read the manga. I usually don't judge an anime until I watch 5 episodes. I suppose it was meant to be comedy but didn't work on me besides there are things that don't match with vampires. I don't want to go thru the details. I'll write again after episode 2.
That guy looks like kurasaki ichigo to me. ^_^

About the Bge/Boogie thing...
Bge was written on screen by the animators, and on several Japanese sites as well. But since it is in Katakana, it can pretty much be open to interpretation.

24 episodes.
And since Anime-Empire is kinda stuck at episode 8 for quite a while, I'll just get A.F.K.'s to watch and get A-E for archiving.

I have been keeping up and so far I've watched 13 eps. I'm quite hooked on the series. The series is funny and not to mention the whole "blood producing" concept is an interesting twist to the whole vampire idea. Although I cant give it a "full" rating as of yet since I usually need a good 15 or so episodes to do so with a "decent" anime but Im pretty sure you can pick this one up and still be happy with it.
It is just a great anime, I have just watched lately, and I must say, the detail is placed on my favorite subject of ecchi, girl, and of course vampires.
I think it is very creative for the author to make a UNvampire, which is rather unique, many of which opposes the traditional view of vampires, and the detail focusing on Karin's cuteness just over whelms me.
So this indeed is a worthwhile anime.
I am currently at around episode 7 and I must say, not only is the song good, the story itself is quite entertaining.
Though, I wish that Kenta would at least try to understand his mother and Karin's potential. I think he is not taking any measures to help the both of them.

Episode 14 was so funny!!! I laughed so much when Anju and Karin's mom were cooking, that I busted a gut for laughing to much. I never knew Anju can be so jealous of Maki. ^_^
It is so sad to see Ichigo working two jobs (Bleach, Karin)to support Rukia. Ha Ha
