This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

I saw the first three episodes of this during the past week and I love it. The music is great and the characters are funny. The artwork reminds me of FLCL alot for some reason too. ^_^
Any way, what do you think about it?

I have quite mixed feelings about Gunbuster 2. It's just wacky, weird and...GAINAX. "Gainaxication" can be seen for example in Gainax-bounces and Gainax-angles. I usually don't care much about those but nevertheless I watch Gunbuster 2 willingly. Still, I can't really say what I think about it, quite disturbing. And yes, I agree that music is quite good. And art is...let's just say interesting.

"Gainax destroyed the world and all I got was this lousy t-shirt".

Really... I watched all of the original Gunbuster last weekend. I didn't know there was a sequel. Is it just plain wacky or does it try to pick up where the last one left off? Sorta impossible since it was like the year 12,000 or so. Heh. Still, I did wonder what happened to Earth and those two.
